1970 Ford Mustang Resto Mod Project. with 9 Inch Rear. Overview: PLEASE READ COMPLETE DESCRIPTION FOR THIS CAR. Ready for restoration and resto mod is a 1970 Mustang Coupe wiyh 9 inch rear. This is an original 1970 351 Cleveland Stick shift car that was converted to auto. I am selling some of my father’s long term projects. This is a car that he started to work on a few years ago, but never got around to completing it. It is worth a restoration. It would make a great Resto Mod. It is a rolling body with all brakes and power steering in place. Some of the car was disassembled to start the restoration. I’m putting together the parts that I can find from the original car. I have taken pictures of a lot, but will include a more. The original plan: Was to create a resto mod. I have the shell of a 1970 Mustang fastback that I was going to take the roof off of and put on the coupe. (I will list the roof on e bay this week as well if you want to do the conversion I planned. So a few years ago, the conversion was made from the 351 stick into C6 . VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: The Car is a restoration Project. It originally was a 1970 Mustang Coupe with a 351 Cleveland engine and 4 speed Trans. With power steering. The car has the typical mustang body rust in floors, front torque boxes. Rails are solid as is the trunk. It requires front quarter floors and toe plate. Front Torque boxed should be replaced as well as seat supports. see pictures) The body is in good overall condition with a few rust areas on the doors and rear fender. Hood has some rust. I will replace it with a better one. Additional parts like Doors etc can be supplied if you need them at a very reasonable rate. I tried to take a lot of pictures of all the areas. Car will be sold with clear Title. Drum brakes all around, Car has power steering and a Tran’s cooler is in place. . SUSPENSION: The suspension seems to have the heavy duty springs and air shocks, It has the original drum brakes front and rear. It has a 9 inch rear. It is a 3:00 ratio open. It does have a tag on it. We started to convert to power disc brakes, but only got as far as the pedals. All suspension parts are in place including shocks, brakes. Tires are for transport only. Disc brake set up can be purchased separately if you want to do the conversion. I also have the power booster for sale as well. BODY The body was in good condition. As I mentioned it has the typical mustang body rust. There are small rust areas on both doors, and fenders are good, Hood has some rust. The rear fender has some rust. All repairable. Tailigh panel is rusted. I will include replacement for it. I will also include all the parts I can find for this car. The front torques and rail need to be replaced, The rails look good, Front rails look good as does battery box. I'm including all harware for doors. The rear torque boxes look good (see picture) The trunk looks good. Need one drop down. Other than that they are solid. The rear suspension looks good. Side windows and rear windows are good. Front windshield has a stone chip. Can be repaired. Please remember that our intention was to convert this to a fastback. That seems to be the hot set up and is easier to do then you think. AS I stated before, I will list the fastback roof and glass separately. INTERIOR I will include the front and rear seats, (need to be recovered) as well as the dash. You can see from the pictures that it needs to be replaced. I will include a lot of the original parts for replacement. All wiring is in place. PAYMENT Car is sold as is where is.
