I am selling a 1986 Subaru Brat purchased in Florida off of the original owner in late 2009. Car was originally sold in Virginia and spent the 2nd half of its life in Texas and Florida. I purchased the Brat because of its excellent original condition and documentation. All moves and registrations of the vehicle are documented, including the original title and bill of sale (even the lien release a few years later as well)! This Brat stood apart from the others I have seen because there was no rot and the rust that was present was very minor and easy to correct. I performed the restoration on it in December 2009. This car is very original - even the original clutch, still working fantastic. Replaced all seals and head gaskets, and U-joints on the transaxle. Rebuilt carburetor that responds well to adjustments. Brat drives great and 4WD works correctly, both Hi and Lo. Re-wired car for modern speakers. Built in a custom tower for 2 speakers that can be removed with no interior damage, including 10" sub behind passenger seat. Has Sony X-plode head unit w/remote and 6 speakers w/sub. Included in sale is rare low profile cap (black) and 2 additional wheels. Small random parts will also be included - extra trim, wheel centers, blinkers, etc... All work was performed professionally and I was able to assist and oversee. There are no fluid leaks nor are there any interior leaks. Windshield, window, and T-top seals are all original and still in excellent condition. This Brat was garaged all the way to 2010 and it shows! I am able to answer any questions you may have and can provide additional pictures upon request. Only issue left to address is the Driver's seat springs are wore out and cloth is ripped.
