No tire kickers or people who just want to see how the TV's were installed so they can try and do it on their truck please. 2003 Ford F-250 4x4 King Ranch Crew Cab. This was the first year the King Ranch package was available in the F-250. I am the second owner of this truck. The truck originally came from Michigan. The original owners were an older retired couple that had ordered this truck from Ford in the fall of 2002. They only used the truck to travel so they ordered it with the 5.4l V8 and captain’s chairs both front and rear. They ordered it with every feature you could get except for the backup sensors and the power sliding rear window. As the husband explained it to me, he had been back up just fine for 70 some years and he never once open the back glass the entire time he owned the truck. The sticker on the truck was $45,897, with the king ranch package being $4,670 of that. I purchased the truck in 2008 with 48,910 miles on it. His wife had gotten sick and they could no longer travel if it required them to stay overnight. It was kind of sad because as the husband explained to me this was the truck he had work hard all his life to own. This truck has never been a work truck. They had all maintenance work done by the Ford dealership they ordered it from. At 34,000 miles Ford put a brand new transmission in the truck. The truck has never been smoked in. Never used for heavy towing. No 5th wheel or goose neck ever on it.I bought the truck to use as my daily driver and also to take on vacation. The truck is in very good condition. I am going to do my best to detail everything done to the truck in clouding prices. Should you have any question please feel free to email me. Anyone is more than welcome to come look the truck over and take it for a test drive.Exterior:·The truck does have a four inch tough country lift on it.I picked this lift because it was one of the few that reused the factory springs and you did not have to put in an add-a-leaf.I did not want to affect the ride quality on the truck. As it was going to be used for long trips. The kit came with new lower leaf mounting points and longer shackles in the front and 4” lift blocks in the back.·The truck came with the FX4 package. (Side note: Ford did not start putting the sicker for the FX4 package on the bed of the truck till half way through 2003. That’s why it does not have the sticker. I verified this with the Vin at the dealership). So when I got it the truck it had Rancho shocks on it. Again I did not want to mess with the ride so I had four new Rancho RS5000 shocks installed. I also knew I would be running bigger tires so I had a Rancho RS9000 steering stabilizer installed. The lift, shocks, rims, and tires were all installed last fall at a cost of $3,800.·The truck has 3.73 gears with the limited slip rear diff that was standard with the FX4 package. Also has a skid plate for the transfer case and for the gas tank also standard with the FX4 package. · The rims are Eagle Alloy 18” deep dish with Nitto Terra Grappler 285/60/18” tires. These wereinstalled last October. Then taken off in late November. They were re-installed in early May of this year. They have just over 4k on them. The tires still have the “nubs” on the side wall. Just the rims and tires cost me $2,300.You will also get the stock rims, center caps, lugs with MT tires that I just had put on in November of last year for this past winter.·When I bought the truck it did not have a bed liner so I had Ford install a under the rail one for $250· It has vent shades that are painted to match the truck·It has custom 3D tail lights that are custom painted to match the truck·I had the grill taken out and the inside painted to match the truck·Has a LED brake strip installed under the tail gate.It has stop, running, turn left, turn right and bright white back up LEDs. ·The head lights started to get a light haze on them so I got brand new clear head light, turn, and markers. These were put in July of this year. · Last winter we were driving up to camp and hit some black ice.The truck spun three times before coming to rest on a guide rail. Where I was sitting had four other people stuck in the bank.It pushed the very end of the front bumper in toward the tire. Making it so I could not turn all the way. I had one of the tow truck driver’s hook on to it and pulled it back out for me.This prompted me to look for a better off road bumper. Most the guys around here have Ranch Hands, Top Gun, or Fab four bumpers.I knew I wanted something the cover up over the hood and could hold a winch. After a few months of looking I went with an ABR full front bumper. I got it from four wheel drive hardware at a cost of $1900. To this day I have not seen another f-250 or f-350 with an ARB on it.·Most of my friends that have off road bumpers had theirs start to chip and rust after only one winter. I knew I want to have the bumper covered in spray on bed liner. So I tracked down the only shop around that could do colored spray on bed liner. They use a pigment-less bed liner and then add your color, which in my case was Arizona Beige. It’s the same thing you have done when you buy a can of paint at Lowes or Home depot and they add you pigment in the can. So when the spray it the color is the entire way through the bed liner. Most people just have the bed liner sprayed over with a different color. The problem with that is if you have anything rub up against the bumper it will pull the paint off exposing the black bed liner underneath.Just having it sprayed was $500.00. ·Next it was off the shop to have it the bumper install. I had Hella 500 lights installed along with the bumper. The lights are wired into the switch of the factor fog lights. So there is no ugly aftermarket switch on the dash. Bumper $1900, Bed liner $500, Install/lights $350.·I also had two totally custom front plates made for the truck. They are the same color as the truck and even have the pin stripe. In the center is the King ranch badge. One is for summer and one is for winter. The badges were $50 each from ford then another $150 at the paint shop. ·Overall the outside of the truck is in good condition. It has a few chips in the paint I covered up with touch up paint. And a few scratches. The only body rust is starting to form over the top of the front windshield. It is to small bubbles. NO RUST over any of the wheel wells. Some rust starting to form on the lower inside lip of the tail gate. Interior:·Totally custom stereo system. I knew we would be taking our vacations in this truck so I want something that would be able to entertain everyone in the truck. ·In the dash is a Kenwood Exelon DDX-7017 7”touch screen AM/FM/DVD/CD/MP3.It is Sat radio/HD radio/Navigation ready. This unit can control both input and output video sources to both screens. ·Has a drop down 10” Directed Electronics LCD screen mounted on the ceiling directly in front of the rear captain’s seats. The shop almost lost the entire install because they keep telling me that I should put two 7” screens in the back of the front seats because the truck has a moon roof and they didn’t think they could get a drop down mounted. I didn’t want to cut the leather seats and I thought 7” would be too small.·The shop took another 10” Directed Electronics drop down and ripped it apart. They build a custom enclosure and installed it where the passenger side airbag use to be. I still have the air bag and everything for it. If the winner would feel more comfortable having the air bag put back in I can have that done before pick up.(Note: the Air bag system is still 100% functional. There is no air bag light that stays on when the truck is running. The air bag system still does a full check at start up.I had the truck at the dealership and the tech said he scanned the air bag system just to see if it still worked and he could not believe that it tested 100% ok. He went on to tell me that all cars he has seen come in with TV’s where the air bag use to be have the entire system removed. And then they take out the light bulb in the dash).I said in the beginning to the shop that if the air bag system would not function I didn’t want to do it. I also made sure the air bag could be put back in. ·The shop painted the Air bag screen enclosure and the drop down screen enclosure brown to match the factory. I also had them paint many of the accessories in the truck to match.·They installed a custom IPod cord. The cord runs to the center console. There is a hidden switch that you can flip to make the cord charge or not charge the iPod/iPhone. Also the cord will pass both video and audio. I had a 30gig IPod video and we would load up a movies and shows on it for long trips. It is much easier to flip through all the movies rather than a book of DVD’s.Once I got the IPhone I was able to put anything that was on the IPhone’s screen on the TV screens in the truck (see pictures). So I could surf the web or on our last trip we streamed live TV and I didn’t have to have a big dish on the roof (I had looked into trac-vision and flo-TV). ·Last they installed a Viper 5900 two way remote start and alarm. This can start the truck from up to two miles away.It will also tell you on the remote if someone has tried to break in.It is great piece of mind to have. I use it just as much in the summer as winter. You leave your AC on and come out to a cool truck. ·The stereo shop had the truck for four weeks and when I picked it up I paid $5200 for everything. ·All of the windows were tinted 5%.In the back they put 5% over the 20% from factory. They came down 6” on the front windshield. ·I have a set of winter rubber mats that will go with it. ·The interior is mint condition. There are no stains, rips, tears, nothing at all.Every three months the inside and out were detailed. This included having the seats conditioned, which needs to be done at least every three months if not sooner. Mechanics:·If you have not had to deal with or don’t know the 5.4L V8 and the 6.8L V10 had cheap galvanized exhaust manifold studs put in from the factory. Almost all of them fail by 60K.Also the driver’s side manifold has been known to crack along the casting line. And sure enough at 88,000 miles I started to hear an exhaust leak coming from the driver’s side fender.Took it to the shop and I had a bad drivers side manifold and I had two manifold studs that popped off on the passenger side. $1400.00 later the truck has a new manifold on the driver’s side and all new manifold studs on both sides.·This past June I had the truck out at camp and went to put the truck in 4x4…..And nothing. No light on the dash and no 4x4. After checking all the fuses I took it to the Ford dealer. The 4x4 computer had gone bad. They ordered a new one, installed it, and had to “flash” it to make sure it would work with the truck. $900.00 later. 4x4 works!·This past spring I put new rotors and pads on the truck. The pads were ceramic all the way around. Also on the front they put new caliper pins in.I guess they have had some issues with the pins sticking. ·Changed the tranny fluid and both differential in August. Also the rear diff was leaking where the drive shaft went into the differential, so I had the seal replaced.·The truck is 100% ready to go. It leaks nothing at all. It is 100% dry under the truck. Also it does not burn any oil.Starts as if it was new every time. ·Everything works on the truck, every light, every switch, every button, every motor, and yes that means AC, heat, windows, sunroof, doom lights, all computers and trip counters. Notes: I have taken the time to list everything I can about the truck so that anyone can buy with confidence. I am willing to meet anyone up to 50 miles away. I do not have the title, as the truck is not paid off. When you come to pick up the truck you will receive a bill of sales giving you all legal rights to the truck.I talked with my bank (PNC Bank) and they have no issues with working with other banks as some banks require the title sent directly to them. This truck is in amazing condition, but it is still used. As such it will be sold AS-IS. I am listing this truck locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. Thank you for your time.
