Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a very original 1976 Camaro V8 Sport Coupe. This car has factory A/C and rear defrost. The engine appears to be the original 305 2bbl and has the original turbo 350 transmission. This car is pretty much untouched under the hood with the exception of the valve cover gaskets which I replaced. This car even still has all of the original vacuum lines with the factory cloth tape and none of the lines are cracked or rotted. It seems to have lived a good portion of its life in California which is probably why they're not all rotted away. I drive this car anywhere I need to go as long as the weather is good and would feel comfortable driving it anywhere. The floors and trunk are very nice and it appears the car was undercoated when new. The rear frame rails show no rot or damage of any kind. The car is mainly in need of a full cosmetic restoration. There is rust to both front fenders and rear quarters (see pictures). I have a pair of GM fenders (not pictured) that are included in the sale. They are from a 1971 model, but are very solid and hard to come by. The core support looks solid and clean. The roof, hood, and area around the back window is solid with just surface scale due to the flaking paint. The doors are very solid and the drivers side has a dent as you can see. The interior will need seat upholstery, carpet, and a headliner (the one in the car is sagging). Surprisingly, the dash pad shows no signs of cracking. The original AM-FM radio functions, but is not easy to hear. 1976 was one of the two years that the Z28 was not available and is also the first year for the 305 engine. With a little money and TLC, you will have yourself a very nice classic Camaro to cruise around in. The Z28 wheels and hood shown on the car are not included in this auction. I will install the original 14" rally wheels and flat hood (see pics). If you are interested in the Z28 wheels and hood, I can list them in a seperate auction for you. The original 14" rally wheels have tires that hold air, but they do have weather checks and cracks. I have the clear title in my name so the car is ready to go. This is an AS-IS, Where-Is sale with no guarantees written, expressed, or implied. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. A $500.00 deposit is due at the end of the auction through paypal. The balance is due by cash or certified funds no later than 7 days after the end of the auction. If paying by any means other than cash, all funds must clear before the car will be released. You can email me if you like or you can call or text me at 419-230-3545. Please no calls after 9pm eastern time. I have 25+ years of experience and my own restoration shop and can perform any level of repairs to this car before you take delivery if you like, so please contact me for more info.
