Saying this truck is one of a kind doesn't do it justice. There are lots of custom cars and trucks out there. What puts this one in a special class is not the tens of thousands of dollars that were obviously spent, it has more to do with thousands of man-hours invested in the restoration. This 1947 Ford Pickup was built from the ground up with the kind of care and craftsmanship that only comes from a very personal level.

Not only that, it runs and drives GREAT, powered by a 454ci Chevy V8 that rumbles through the dual exhaust system. This Hot Rod Pickup looks fantastic, and it runs and drives a lot better than it did when it was new.

The classic looks are enhanced by a stunning two-stage dark red and black paint scheme. Its detailed with wide running boards with metal step plates and full wood bed that looks absolutely fantastic. We doubt seriously it was ever used to haul anything. The body is all metal and it is rust free. The wheels have no road rash or gouges.
The interior work was another labor of love. The bench seat is a regal-looking red (almost burgundy) color. There is a matching headliner and door panels. The interior metal work is unique to this car and all hand-tooled - another example that no expense was spared to build this truck right.
There are some modern conveniences: this Ford has power steering, cold air conditioning and an AM/FM/CD stereo from Kenwood. It even has a working power antenna.
This truck really runs great, and the dual exhaust sounds awesome. Its powered by a 454ci Chevy liter V8 that has been done right. High quality components were used, with plenty of chrome and braided hoses. Please take a close look at the pictures inside the engine compartment.
As a matter of fact, please take a close look of all of the pictures, including the underside of the vehicle. It is just about as clean as the top of the truck.
This truck had a very detailed complete ground-up restoration, and it looks to be fairly recent. If you were to start a resto project like this today, you would proably have to invest 2 or 3 times the money that we're asking for this truck. The odometer reads 3233 miles, and looking over the truck we're pretty confident that is the correct miles since the rebuild.
Of course, you could always start from scratch and build one of these yourself - if you have the time, money, and extreme inclination. Or you could just buy this one.

- The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours and send out a deposit of $500.00 within 48 hours. The car must be paid in full Prior To delivery. We would like a copy of any cashier check you may be using faxed to us before the delivery date. Sold vehicles will be stored for no longer than 7 days at no charge. A storage charge will incur after 7 days. Please make prior arrangements with selling dealer to avoid storage charges at time of sale.
- You may pay the purchase price with cash in person, with a cashiers or
certified check or bank-to-bank wire transfer. These forms are acceptable
for the deposit as well, and we will accept Paypal for the deposit only. If
you are the winner, a $500 deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction is sufficient to hold the car until the remainder can be sent or car is
picked up. If these forms of payment are not acceptable, please do not bid.
Final payment is expected within five (5) days thereafter.
Important tax info:
If you are a Florida resident, you will be required to pay Florida's 6%
sales tax and registration fees. If you are not a Florida resident, and you are are driving the vehicle away from our lot, you will be required to pay your state's sales tax up to 6%. If your state's sales tax is more than 6%, you will be required to pay the difference in your home state. If your state has no sales tax on motor vehicles, we will not charge you any sales tax. If you have the vehicle shipped, we will not charge you any sales tax (however, you will have to pay your state's tax at home).
- Regarding the Buy It Now option:
If this vehicle has a "Buy It Now" option, you must leave a Paypal deposit
if you click the Buy It Now. If you wish to purchase the vehicle with a Buy It Now, and do not have a PayPal account, please call so that we can disable this feature.
- We recommend that you do not send payment via regular mail or priority mail.
We have experienced lost checks several times. We recommend that if you are sending payment, that you use registered, return receipt mail or FedEx. This is for you protection, as well as ours.
