For sale is my 1972 Corvette Convertible 350 Automatic, manufactured late 1971. My wife purchased this car for me for my 50th birthday in August 2009. Unfortunately being in the North East and having a crazy work schedule I have not had the time to enjoy this vehicle, putting less than 200 miles on the car in 2 years. This car was originally listed for sale on ebay a few weeks ago as #'s matching (when we purchased the car we were told by the classic car dealer in Charlotte that it was), but subsequent investigation determined that the engine probably is not original, although it is a Chevy 350, manufactured at approximately the same time as the car itself. The engine has been customized for increased performance by the previous owner (Holley carb, Offenhauser intake manifold, and Milodon Oil pan. The car also has a Gymkhana suspension. I originally had a high reserve on this car, thinking that the car was #'s matching. Now that that does not seem to be the case, I have set a low initial price, thousands less than I paid) and made this a no reserve auction. The previous owner spent a substantial amount of money restoring this vehicle. The only damage in the paint is below the passenger side grill (see picture). This car passed NY inspection in August. At that time I replaced all the tires, had the car tuned and wheels aligned. The car starts right up and runs well. The vacuum headlights and windshield wiper cover work. I've created a couple small videos showing the engine running and the exhaust. The removable hardtop is missing some chrome around the window (see photo), there are no seat belts, and no tilt wheel. This car is being sold As-Is. Serious bids only.
