1996 Chevrolet Tahoe 1500 LT"Loaded"This is a 1996, 4 wheel drive, Chevrolet Tahoe 1500 LT model with a 5.7 litre V8 engine and a loaded interior. I am the second owner of this vehicle and hold a clear title. It has 105,000 original miles on the engine which runs very strong and uses no oil. I had the automatic transmission professionally rebuilt 2 years ago and can produce the work order. This vehicle was garage kept until 2004 and the frame and undercarriage are perfect. When I got this truck in 2009 from the first owner, who was a friend of mine, it had 48,000 original miles on it! This vehicle has a "limited slip" rear differential. The Goodyear AT tires are a little less than half tread. It is equipped with a Class V Reese receiving hitch and includes ball hitch. EXTERIORThe vehicle has several body issues which I tried to depict accuratley in the pictures. It was involved in a front end collission with a deer that damaged the front passenger side. Damage was caused to the passenger side door as well. All of the damage was contained to the grill, fender and door panel. I had repaired the passenger headlight enough to drive it and keep it legal. It would need a new headlight bucket and light assembly to make it street legal. Aside from that, it has the normal scrapes and scratches with an occassional light dent. Overall, not counting the deer damage, the exterior is in fair to good condition.INTERIORThis vehicle is loaded inside. It has a tan leather interior with tan carpeting. The leather driver's seat has normal wear but NO tears or rips. The rest of the seats are like new and in perfect condition. The carpeting could use a good cleaning and has several stain spots on it in different areas. I scrubbed some of them when I first got it and could not get them out. The seats are power controlled and have pull down arm rests. The vehicle also has power steering, AC, AM/FM /Cassette/CD player, Cruise Control, Overdrive, Manual 4WD lever on the floor, Center Console, Rear Wiper, Power Windows and Power Door Locks with Remote Key Fob.MECHANICALThis vehicle has several mechanical issues that I will address here. I parked the tuck about a month ago due to a noise a was hearing in the front differential. I decided to buy a new vehicle because I travel alot and need a dependable vehicle with lower miles. This vehicle had been VERY dependable up to this point. I decided to look into the problem myself and remove the left and right side axle shafts to see if I could disassemble the front differential. I removed the shafts which left both front wheels loose. It was at this point I decided to buy another truck. About a week later, a guy offered me a couple hundred dollars for the catalytic converters and I allowed him to cut them off. All this being said, here is what it needs....two new converters or two straight pipes, the axle shafts reinstalled and some work on the front differential. I never did determine what was wrong with the differential. I thought about just keeping it several times and using it for hunting and beach fishing but i just dont have the time or money to mess with it. It runs perfectly though and any interested party can start it up. The vehicle will have to be towed due to the axle shafts or whoever buys it can work in my driveway to put them back in. TERMS/CONDITIONSDue to the vehicle needing towed, this is a "Pick-Up" only auction and no delivery is offered. Title will be signed and handed to the buyer upon full payment.
