I am selling this 74 Deville for a good friend of mine. He is the 2nd owner. I have been around this car since 1994. I can't seem to get away from it. The car has not driven anywhere in over 4 years. Before that the car was used as a backup car and driven very little, mileage is accurate. I drove this car in 2002-03 and it has some serious power. The original 472 was professionally bored out to a 500 at great cost back in the early nineties. Sometime in 2006, the original transmission gasket let go and was repaired, only to leak out again a year later. The car was started occasionally after that, but never driven again. Fast forward to current date, and my friend finally decided to part with his Caddy. I picked the car up and was going to fix it, but changed my mind after finding numerous problems. I put some fresh gas in and started it up and it ran about 20 minutes, and sounded just as awesome as it did when I last drove it. Nothing wrong with the motor. That's the good news. Now the bad. The gas that I put in, leaked out, which means the tank has a hole in it or there is a break in the line somewhere. The transmission gasket still needs to be fixed. The years of sitting in the open, rusted a hole in the drivers floorboard and in the trunk. Clean title. I cannot ship the car, but will aid in any way that I can and help load the car. The reserve price has been set at $500. The motor alone is worth many times that. A $250 deposit must be received within 7 days of auction close, unless pickup of the vehicle is done earlier. In other words, if you can pick the car up within 7 days after the auction ends, there is no need to mail me a separate check. Payment to be made in cash. Do not bring a check unless you can cash it before picking up the car. I have been burned with checks before. Located in Olive Branch, MS, just south of Memphis, TN.
