Vehicle Detail
This truck is in very good physical condition and runs and drives excellent. Body was completely refinished, including many new body panels, four years ago by a licensed tradesman and was oil undercoated afterwards. Looks good and very solid. There is one very small rust bubble on the right hand cab corner and the passenger's fender has some bubbling where an old dent was previously repaired. Box is very nice with no rust at all over the wheel arches. Floors are solid and have never needed repair. The front bumper is starting to rust through but you have to really look to see it. Mechanically, the truck is very sound. 5.0 litre engine runs perfectly and the transmission shifts smoothly with no problems. They are original to the truck. I have recently noticed a wheezing noise on cold starts that sounds like a sticky air control valve but I haven't checked into it. A/C is ice cold but the cruise control hasn't worked since I've owned it. Within the last 6 months I've installed a new front fuel tank, drag link, and 4 excellent used tires. The rad was replaced about a year and a half ago. It will need some TLC as can be expected with age and mileage. The axle shaft seals are starting to weep and should be changed. The parking brake cables are very stiff but it does work. The upper ball joints are just starting to show some free play but new parts in the box are included in the sale. The output seal on the transmission is dripping a little but a new seal is also included. Brakes are good but one of the drums must be replaced due to damage from a hammer blow during an inspection. The brake warning light is currently on but it's not leaking fluid. I purchased the truck in Ontario to tow my Jeep 5000 kilometers on a move to BC and it worked flawlessly. I would drive this truck anywhere without a moment's hesitation. I now have a company vehicle and no longer need it. It is still registered in Ontario so will need to pass an inspection before being licensed. Delivery arrangements are negotiable within BC. The truck also comes with a JVC CD player, high top canopy, box liner, and a bed mat. This is an excellent truck with lots of reliable years left in it. Happy bidding.
