Very rare Monterey Custom Convertible, White with black top and aqua interior. Beautiful car, rides smooth and very powerful with 390 and dual exhausts. I try to keep everything as original. Recently completed 600 mile trip. I have too many cars and need to get rid of one. One year only wild taillight style and beautiful grill gets lots of compliments. Car kept very clean. Rare original Mercury rubber aqua floor mats. All within the last 8 months: New upholstery done with NOS and accurate reproduction vinyls, new carpet, new top boot, top not new but in excellent condition as is rear window, two new power window switches, new power seat motors and gears, some new weatherstripping, new armrests, dash light bulbs replaced, new kick panels, rechromed rear bumper, several trim pieces replaced with NOS stainless steel, new seat belts, paint looks great from a distance still shines for a car show but really should be repainted, new correct tires, new side view mirror, rebuilt brake system including new wheel cylinders, shoes and spring/holddown kits, new rubber brake lines, new master cylinder and rebuilt booster, new idler arm, new tie rod ends, rebuilt power steering cylinder, pump, valves and hoses (yet it still leaks a bit!), new starter, new distributor, new coil/plugs/wires, new generator, new fuel pump, new fuel lines, new water pump, new timing chain and gears, new oil pump, rebuilt heads with new valves/guides, rebuilt carburetor, rebuilt radiator, new voltage regulator and starter solenoid, new wiper arms and blades, new mufflers, new engine mounts, new under hood insulation. Probably more stuff that I am forgetting. I have all receipts and original owners manual, Mercury shop manuals, and brochures. Extra dash gage cluster, door handles, and many other parts included. All windows work great, as does radio, heater, all lights, horns, power top, etc. Body amazingly solid, rocker panels, floor pans and trunk like new. A couple small rust bubbles under paint around trim. Windshield in fine condition. Small leak from transmission too in addition to power steering leak. Shifts perfectly. 10/26/11: I've added some more photos at the request of many who have requested. Note on the driver's side taillight photo, look below to the side trim piece to see the paint bubble from rust underneath. There are three more like that on the car perhaps dime size. I pulled back the trunk liner in another photo to show how clean the floor is. The car also has new shock absorbers. The dashboard chrome is dazzling in the daylight.
