Vehicle Detail
Great driving car. Read the question and answer section below for even more information. Runs and drives very good and smooth. Lights work and even the blue Chevy symbol high beam indicator light on the dash works. You can buy this car and drive it home Click below to see a full 9 minute walk around of the car including hearing it start and run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbBMZeOHJp4 This car has a dash (-) in the paint code area and it is my understanding it was a special order paint car. Under the convertible header and behind the door panels is Orange paint. It appears that this car was originally an Orange car as special order paint. That is pretty rare as the only Orange cars that were listed as produced were 396 engine cars and painted the Corvette color Monaco Orange. I will welcome any expert opinions on the car or the data tag - if you have any info that I can pass on to potential buyer please fill me in and I will post it. The car has so many options including : 1. Rare Power Windows that work. 2. It also has Power Door Locks - they are not currently functioning - I believe they are vacuum operated. 3. Six way Power Seat - operates as it should. Other options: 4. Rear Window Defroster (complete, not currently functioning) 5. Air Conditioning (needs a new dryer and a compressor - all AC components appear intact) 6. Power Steering 7. Power Brakes 8. Power Top 9. Lighted rearview mirror 10. Electric clock 11. Remote outside mirror 12. Factory wire wheel covers 13. Front and Rear bumper guards 14. Small block 307 V-8 with a turbo 350 automatic Transmission Owner installed dual exhaust. The car is rock solid underneath with no floor pan or frame rust that I could find. It does have some bono on the driver’s side rear bottom quarter, in front of the drivers door and the rear drivers side near the front side of the wheel well and some in front of the passenger door bottom and a spot on the rear passenger quarter bottom. The repairs were done by a amateur and to correct it you would want to get small patch panels and weld metal in those areas. Trunk pan has several areas that have penetrated through the metal. They are pin hole type and the trunk is solid, but water has entered there at some point in the past and caused those areas. That said you can drive this car now and you will want to. It is one of those rare cars you can actually work on as you improve the car. It can be taken to a cruise in right now and have some fun and you will look good in it.! I just had it out at a cruise in on Friday October 21 and it was the hit of the event. DATA TAG INFO ST 69 13667 BAL245679 BODY TR790 - A PNT 07AB1507 11200622 VIN # 136679B399411 I have a brand new black top with glass rear window that goes with the car. I also have the new rubber kit for the weather-stripping for the top. The top on it now can be classified as a true rag top. It is torn and weak and needs to be replaced. The boot cover is brand new. I have never seen another 69 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Convertible with all of these options before. It is hard to say what the special paint code adds to the package. You decide but I believe this is the right car. Call me at 252-916-4367 to ask any other questions. Take a look at the Youtube video as that should help you understand the condition of the car. The car is an old car and I may have missed something you want to know about it before you bid so feel free to call me with any questions.
