It is in excellent original condition and was evaluated by AMA and with AMA plate and plaque, 3520 miles on speedometer, Beautiful paint job, don’t’ know if it is original but under tank is pinstripe lady ‘s initial “A” and pinstripe seems accurate and original. There is some pain lost on right side of headlight ( see photo) . tank has some normal pint chips and were touch up. There’re some paint lost around the gas cap from 52 years of open and close from fueling,. Engine run smoothly, 2nd kicks bike and no smoking. one bar end mirror, beautiful European low bar, Pugusa solo seat . The ID tag was lost over the years and I purchased one without ser# from Mayer in Germany and it, the tire pump and the key will go with the bike. Bike. Bike was purchased from a BMW collector in current condition, strong runner and need noting and with no issue to report. I intended to keep it for long time but I just purchased a 1967 original 1 owner R60/2 with full history and documentation last week, so this little beauty has to go to make room for that bike.. R26 is one of best German build BMW single cylendar and according to all BMW collector it is the best of all singles and easy to find part and is most practical of the vintage single. And no vibration issue like R27, it is the bike all came together in the right way, no compromise like a rubber mounted engine. Currently the bike is registered in CT and will offer buyer a Connecticut Bill of Sale ( of over 20 years old motorcycle that’s only paperwork what you will get in Connecticut) The Sale is final and it is “AS IS” and is Final with no return!!
