Rebuilt Engine,Zero Rust Nevada MGB,Thousands $$ spent ,90% complete project car! RARE ,RUST FREE MGB The MGB Runs and Drives! 1977 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual plus overdrive , Lien free Nevada title in hand Classic story, I bought this Rust Free 1977 MGB for a father son project 6 years ago. The car came with a rebuilt,almost ZERO MILES engine and excellent body (other than faded red paint from its life in the desert!). Over the past 6 six years we have spent much time and $$ to remove and replace parts and pieces to restore this beauty to 90% complete. Well, 2 house down sizing's later and a son off on other adventures, it makes sense to pass this car on to someone to take it the last mile to completion. Here is what has been done so far ( I am sure I have forgotten a few things we did, but here is a general list) Brand new Tires and Wheels New battery this year ( I always start and run the engine every couple months) New brakes all around( drums and rotors did Not need turning) Installed Brand new Master cylinder Replaced virtually all the Rubber bushings, steering parts etc Replaced rad and most hoses,replaced thermostat and electric fan switch Replaced many electrical parts, oil sensor,run on switch,ignition relay etc Replaced door window felts and rubbers . All Glass is Perfect including the windshield Replaced Carb diaphragm, Ignition plugs , wires and coil, cap and rotor New headlights Removed Gas tank ,clean flushed and tested good. Installed modern electronic fuel pump Replaced fuel level sender and new gas tank seals Checked rear differential,Replaced fluid Checked Transmission is good, replaced fluid Checked Clutch operation is good All 4 hydraulic shock absorbers tested good Every inch of the body and frame checked for rust, Completely Rust free! ( see photos. No Floor Pan Rust, No Rocker panel rust, no Rust period) Polished all chrome and replaced trunk MGB Emblems NEW 20 footer PAINT job British Racing Green. we sanded, primed and painted the car, color sanded and System One power polished . I say 20 footer because the body was in very good condition with just a handful of little dings ,so our thinking was to protect the body and enjoy the car now and some day return to doing a Show Car paint job when dollars would allow. Make No mistake , this car looks great today. So what is left to do you ask? That depends on what level you what to take it, but to get it to a daily driver the follow needs to be done at a minimum -replace the alternator and finish charge circuit wiring - Complete a tune up and break in of the new engine - front end alignment ( many parts were replaced and new tires, so should have an alignment - button things up ( some carpet and interior panels may need to fastened on or touched up etc) -I am not sure if the spedo works ( we only ever drove in the yard) ** Car comes with a folding roof top, In poor condition ,a few rips, but could be repaired and used.** Items that don't effect drive- ability, but would be nice to change up - Dash has the typical MGB cracking -Driver seat needs to be re-foamed and recovered -Carpet is serviceable, but a new rug kit would look awesome. - Tach sticks ( a light tap and then works fine) Why spend your time and money on some old rust bucket when you can get this car with solid bones and a ton of the work already done. All the Major stuff is done for you,the big money spent, so its your turn to finish this classic beauty! If you choose to use a car shipper, I will supervise the loading and insure MGB is loaded with care.
