This 1956 Buick 4 doors hardtop is a California car. I bought it at north California on Dec 2009, it had been sitting for 20 years and my plan was to do whatever work was needed to make it a reliable car to be used every day. Once the car arrived at front of my house I realized how solid it was, the only rust I could found was the one show in the photo of rear glass corner. When I got the car, engine was leaking at crankshaft rear seal, which I changed, also the Dynaflows had a leaking in one governor and also I took care of it. The original point ignition was substituted with an electronic distributor and the generator was replaced with an alternator, the original Buick’s start system is intact in this car. As I did with my other classic cars, I installed a new timing chain, to be sure the car doesn’t leave me stranded for this reason. I bought a new set of the hydraulic lifters and the head gaskets for the installation, lifters and gaskets will go with the car, as I did not have the time yet to do it myself. It is really painful to me to sell the car, which I very much would like to keep, but economic hardship force me to do it.
