Vehicle Detail

The next owner of this vehicle will be getting a great car. This is a very clean, well maintained 7-passenger vehicle that provides spacious accomodations as a people mover. This is a 2 owner van driven by non-smokers (my wife, the school teacher). After many daily commuter trips to school and back, along with several long distance trips to the Adirondacks and to South Carolina. We have taken our kids to college and taken them back, moved their beds, books and belongings from campus to apartment and back home again. The beauty of this design (2002 is the last year for the Villager) is that the middle seats can be removed and the 3rd row seat flattens and rolls forward on a track upagainst the 2 front seats. This feature provides you with your own moving truck, trust me, I have made many trips to Home Depot, the Villager Estate allows me to move 4' x 8' sheets of plywood and drywall, as well as lengthy pieces of dimensional lumber such as 2' x 10"s for the pressure treated deck I built. Despite the actual age of the vehicle, it still shines beautifully. Whether you use this for grocery shopping, taking a team of kids to their soccer practice or going out on a night on the town, this vehicle is very presentable. Check the reputation the Villager model has on any blogsite and you will notice that people rave about the flexible cabin design, economy, and driving comfort. The drive characteristics are far more car-like for those that fear vans that drive more like trucks. The van sits nice and high which gives you great visibility in traffic and in parking lots. Despite the 138000 on the odometer, the engine is still very peppy, the 6 cylinder engine has ample passing power for maneuvers at highway speeds. Gross weight is over 4000 pounds, yet we still get 23 mpg on regular gas when we take trips! We are selling the van because our kids are out of college and we are ready for a compact commuter car as our 2nd vehicle. Oil and filter changes every 3,000 miles. The engine doesn't leak, consume oil or smoke. Recent work include steel ball joints designed for long life and durability. New battery, recent NYS inspection. I would not hesitate to drive the Villager cross-country. It has never left us stranded, never needed towing. Speaking of towing, the vehicle also includes a NEW tow bar which has never been used, complete with combination (both sizes) trailer hitch balls. Brake lighting for trailer was never done. 6 CD changer with AM/FM radio sounds great! Is it perfect? No, there are a few parking lot dings (see photos) and the rear bumper was tapped by a school bus (we never replaced bumper cover). The school bus also wrinkled the tailgate, so we replaced that and had that resprayed by professionals. Very little rust superficial rust anywhere. Leather interior seating is in excellent condition, very smooth and no cuts or breaks in the seams. Overall, I will let the photos speak for themselves, what you see is what you get. As is, where is. Do not bid on this vehicle unless you intend to follow through on the purchase. Vehicle is located in Rochester, NY. I will pick you up from train, bus or airport location within the area. Deposit made through PayPal required within 24 hours after auction ends, balance to paid when vehicle is picked up using cash or certified check. No personal checks.
