1958 Edsel Pacer 4 dr hardtop. This car would be a very good restoration project, but not for me, since I am out of space. I bought this in 2007 or 2008. It had been stored inside for years, not restored, but kept running. During my ownership, I have replaced the carburetor with a 1963 4 barrel Autolite. The original Holley is in the trunk if you want to return it to stock. It runs and drives, but I would expect to go through the suspension and brakes to be sure it's safe for a trip. There's also a loose connection between the tele-touch controls and the transmission. Occasionally, it will not start, but wiggling wires under the hood and calling it names, seems to correct that. Condition: Very little rust, you can see a small patch in the drivers front fender behind the wheel. The underside is solid. The hod ornament is broken off. Blame my father on that. I bought this as a good project. I just never really got to it. It has the E400 engine(361) with the famous tele-touch automatic transmission. It also has power steering and power brakes. The windshield wipers are vacuum, which don't work well. The windshield washer pump is there and complete, but I never have gotten it to work. The AM radio works, but the reception is poor. The padded dash is decomposing. The clock is there, but doesn't work. The drivers door glass is cracked, but the rest is good. The pictures tell the story of the interior. The original upholstery is on the rear seat covered in plastic. The front seat has had a seat cover installed over the original torn seat. You can see what it once was, but it isn't pretty now. The heater hoses are disconnected under the hood. I have no idea if the core is good. Feel free to ask questions. I have limited car knowledge, but will try to respond.
