1989 Honda FL400

Up for sale is a 1989 Honda FL400 Pilot, Im a long time member of pilotodyssey.com and bought this a year ago from another member sight unseen because it was a good deal and I wanted to help them with a purchase of a stadium light, it has sat in my garage ever since I haver never taken this Pilot out on a trip, I own 5 other Pilots and really don't need this one and I'm going to start selling off some of my Pilot stuff to make room in my garage and since this was the last one I purchased it will be the first one to go. I know nothing about this machine other than what was told to me by the previous owner, he found it sitting outside in the AZ desert it was pretty sun beaten he put new front fenders, new rear fenders, and new side panels on it (they are a 8 out of 10 now), the roof and foot tub are sun beaten, the seat has a cover so I'm guessing the original seat is also sun beaten, the frame has a few dings on the underside, I'm sure it has been rolled because the front roll cage down tubes have been replaced and are not factory, they frame and suspension have been touched up by spray can and whoever did the work did a terrible job there is over spray on everything, the air box has been drilled out (i would patch it or replace it) one CV clamp is missing and was replaced with a hose clamp, I'm sure there are other things wrong with it but it is a complete machine with a clear AZ title and would make a great starter machine for someone. The drive train, I was told the engine was on the original bore or 1 over (sorry I do not know for sure and I'm just going by the previous owner) I was also told all the wheel bearings and seals where also changed along with all the fluids, I know I can part this out and make allot more but I would like to see it stay a whole machine. Im selling this as a no reserve, please ask any and all questions, this is not a trailer queen cosmetically i give it a 5 out of 10, if you are looking for a Pilot to jump in and ride this is not the Pilot for you, if you like to work on things and have been looking to get into a starter Pilot and don't mind fixing a few things this is the Pilot for you, as I said earlier I'm a long time member of pilotodyssey.com and I'm not going anywhere you can always find me on there and I will help in any way I can.
