2000 Mercury Cougar "ROUSH EDITION" NO RESERVE This car was purchased new by a local attorney/friend. Properly serviced and never abused. Recently a deer hit the right side fender and cracked the plastic head light cover. As you can see from the pictures this damage is very minor and easy to fix. Because of the age and miles on this car the Insurance company gave him an option to fix it or take a check and keep the car. So he bought a new car and here it is. This car will now have some kind of salvage history. As you see from the pics it’s not bad at all. We were also driving the car up till last week. No problem! The Roush Edition Cougars (1999-2000 model year) were available in white, red, black and silver color choices. We also know that at least one yellow 2000 model Special Edition (800 SEs built by Mercury) was also converted by Roush. The Roush Stage 2 Cougars have ground effects (spoilers) added to the front bumper, back bumper, trunk lid and side. The Roush kit also added fog lights, special wheels, springs, lowered suspension, sway bars and special exhaust. Options included dual exhaust and racing pedals.
