Vehicle Detail

1957 Plymouth Fury Description: Up for sale is a REAL 1957 Plymouth Fury, VIN 16313552. This is a rare car to start with, but the fact that it is a factory air conditioned car makes it even more rare. Please look closely at the pictures as this car will need a complete restoration. All parts included are shown in the pictures and include: front and rear bumpers, grill, taillights, most of the dash (as seen in the pictures), most of the factory AC equipment, suspension, Fury torsion bars, Fury leaf springs, rear axle, windshield, door glass, left quarter glass, and other parts shown in the pictures. I have some extra trim and other parts (not from this car) that could be used on the Fury and will offer to sell it (at a fair price) to the winning bidder. Sorry but I do not have any of the side trim available. Selling it this way made the most sense to me since I do not have all of the missing parts and not knowing what the purchaser may already have. As can be seen in the pictures, there are a lot of parts missing: seats, door panels, instrument cluster, radio, much of the outside trim, engine, transmission, steering (wheel, column & gearbox), bumper wings, rear windshield, right side quarter glass (broken), left side vent glass, etc. As previously stated, what you see in the pictures is what you get. The body on this car really is not too bad and should be a great candidate for restoration. The frame, front fenders, doors, hood, deck lid, and roof are very solid. The rust is primarily in the rocker panel area but also in the front floor boards, lower rear quarters, and a little in the trunk floor. The worst is the left side rocker. The right side rear quarter must have been hit at some point in the car’s life and was repaired in typical 60’s or 70’s body shop collision repair fashion. It looks like a replacement piece was sectioned in from just above the rear wheel back. This may be easiest to fix with a replacement quarter, but I was planning on just redoing their work without replacing the whole thing as it looks like all good solid metal to work with. Again, look closely at the pictures, they should give you an indication of the work required. This car does come with a title signed by the previous owner. I can also provide a bill of sale. I was planning on restoring this car but reluctantly decided that I just don’t have the time to do it right. I already have a restored and rust free 57 Savoy two door hardtop and that will have to do. I am also out of garage space and need to get my wife’s car back in the garage before winter. I really love these cars and hope this one goes to someone who will take the time to restore it to its former glory. I am not trying to get rich on this car and only want to free up space and pass it on to someone who has the time to give it the attention it deserves. The reserve has been set at a reasonable and fair price to hopefully ensure a quick sale. Thanks for your interest Shipping: This car is sold as is and where is. You must either pick it up or arrange pickup through a shipping company. I will assist to the best of my ability, but the purchaser is responsible and it must be picked up at my residence. Sorry but I will not be able to hold the car for more than 30 days past auction close. Feedback: Please read the listing carefully BEFORE you bid, so you know exactly what you are bidding on. I would be happy to clarrify anything that is missing in the listing or that is not clear. Questions: I encourage you to ask questions before you bid and will be glad to answer any questions you have on this item. Please email me your questions and I will respond as soon as possible. Thanks for your interest and good luck bidding!
