Built with a high budget to the most exacting standards, this car remains true to the original Harley Earl styled “tri-five's” of 1956, retaining a significant look and feel of the original car. In fact, this car was built first to 100% original correct standards, and then was built again in its present Corvette-powered Resto Mod form. The car looks and drives like a late-model new car. It is fully documented and includes a thick folder of receipts. Powered by the venerable Corvette LT4 fuel injected 350-cid engine, mated to a 700-R4 automatic transmission, with a 3:70 geared 9-inch rear end. The engine compartment is bright and detailed – with just the right amount of chrome and polished fittings, including a period-look aluminum radiator, and custom-painted “Chevrolet” emblazoned on the top of the Corvette engine cover. The paint and chrome are in perfect, bright condition. It rides on brand-new American Racing polished aluminum 5-spoke Torque Thrust II wheels fitted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires (prior wheels shown), with four-wheel disc brakes. The interior is flawless – the paint, trim, chrome, upholstery, carpet and top are in perfect condition. The car is equipped with cleanly installed aftermarket air conditioning, and a Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo system with Satellite Radio which is cleverly hidden beneath the front passenger seat, with integrated speakers. The interior has been finished to the highest level and no detail has been overlooked – even the clock works!
