Vehicle Detail
About a week ago my wife was rear-ended by another vehicle, crushing the driver side taillight, trunk, and bumper. (My wife was stopped at an intersection, and the guy behind her was also slowing down and trying to look at cross traffic, but wasn't looking ahead. It was a low speed impact.) About the same time we were given another vehicle, so we have decided to sell this one rather than fix it. The lights still work fine, but you'll have to do something to protect the bulbs from the elements. The trunk still opens and closes, but when closed has a gap that might allow rain/snow into the trunk. We have owned the vehicle since the beginning of 2007 and it has been a very reliable car for us. You will not be disappointed! KBB value on the car with the options installed in "Fair" condition (which takes into account the repairs needed) is about $2100. I have set the "Buy it Now" price accordingly. Pros:New tires, replaced May 2011New clutch, replaced December 2010Last passed emissions January 2010Very nice quiet engine. Low noise when on the highway.Very clean interior, though the backs of the rear seats have faded with the sun. After market CD player installed. Includes remote.AC works well.Power windows, locksCruise controlDual air bags Cons / Needs Work:Minor dent in front bumper. (See picture) My wife was pulling out of the garage and clipped it several years ago and we just never fixed it. Small dent in hood. (See picture) We were parked in a driveway, and the car in front of us backed up and didn't see us. Again, we just didn't care enough to fix it.Rear end damage as described above. (See pictures) Also, a container of new motor oil leaked in the trunk, so some minor cleanup will be called for.Shocks need replacing. Can't tell if it's just the ones in the front or if it's all four.Burns a little bit of oil between changes. Most cars with over 100k miles do, and it's not enough for us to even have to add additional oil.Recent Maintenance:New Tires May 2011 Clutch, CV joints, and synthetic gear oil replaced December 2010Timing belt, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, and water pump replaced November 2009Brake job (includes parts warranty) April 2008If you just need a good running car and don't care about appearances, don't miss the opportunity to pick up this one for cheap! On Oct-07-11 at 04:12:54 PDT, seller added the following information:I was asked if the check engine light is on. It is NOT! The engine is in great shape. This is a nice quiet running car! Also, I wanted to add that we have the paperwork for the recent tire purchase, so you will have the tire warranty as well as the brake warranty already mentioned in the description. Happy bidding!
