2008 Quingqi Total electric 4 wheel, 3 door car made in China by the Jina Qingqi Motorcycle Co. LTD. NEV, top speed can be set by the motor controller, currently set at 40 mph. The motor is 3-Phase AC 8.5 kw 11.25hp cont. 29hp peak. Drive train: is a 120 volt traction pack motor differential with front wheel drive. Power controller: is an AC inverter made by Greatland Electric Co.. Power source: Ten 105 a/hr, 12.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, Gel Batteries. Desulfurization circuit installed on each of the 10 traction batteries. The motor system operating voltage is 120 Volts with 12 volt accessories and lights that work off the traction battery thru a converter. One 12 volt accessory battery (powers the alarm system & power door locks from a remote) System charger: 110 VAC 20 amps household current. Can be plugged in with an extension cord from common house hold outlet. Charger is on board car. Current meter on side back window shows charging rate. Equipped with a Heater and defroster, 600 watts Instrumentation includes, motor current, speedometer, odometer and trip odometer, motor temp, high beams, & battery pack voltage on factory instrument panel. Also included is the "Metric Mind" EV instrument panel. LED head lights, driving lights, brake lights & back-up lights for reduced current consumption. Top speed 50 MPH, software programmable. Acceleration: 0 to 50 in about 12 seconds (book numbers) Range between charges: 50 miles at speeds below 30 mph. 30 miles at 40mph to 50mph. Do not expect the same fit & finish as the German car, this one is made in China. A number of these imports have been licensed in other states as Nationhood Electric Vehicles (NEV). Pictures are of the actual car I currently have licensed to drive in Kentucky since June of 2009. I have been driving this vehicle to work and back (about 25 miles round trip). My work requires me to drive farther than the range of this vehicle now and I need to sell it. Some slight road rash from rocks chipping the paint (need to look real close at pictures). Factory speedometer reads high. I have replaced two weak batteries. I have installed a digital battery monitor to check each battery, a connector to balance charge individual batteries when needed, a plug in analog battery meter to monitor charge level and the "Metric Mind" instrument cluster (visit metricmind web site for more info on thie instrument that monitors 20 pages of parameters for EVs) {http://www.metricmind.com/}All manuals are included that I have been able to find on this vehicle and the instruments I have installed.
