For auction is my 1985 cj7 jeep project. It has a lot work done but needs finishing. This is a list of some main points: -’91 yj body -’79 cj7 frame -’01 4.0l fuel injected motor with full ’01 tj wiring harness and computer -’01 nv3550 5spd trans -’07 atlas II 2 speed transfer case 5.0:1 ratio -advance adaptors t-case parking brake -’01 tj steering column -’79 f350 hi pinion dana 60 front axle re-tubed as rear axle 58” track width -’79 f250 hi pinion dana 44 front axle narrowed to 58.5” track width still needs the shafts cut down -crane hi clearance steering knuckles -custom 18 gallon aluminum fuel tank -full 409 stainless steel exhaust -deaver 9 leaf, spring over axle springs -front and rear arb air lockers -psc powering steering pump, capable of running full hydro steering -hydratec hydro boost brake booster with corvette master cylinder -york on board air -arg power steering box -m.o.r.e. heavy duty steering box mount -m.o.r.e. frame reinforcing plates front and rear -new factory jeep tj unlimited soft top -1.75” dom tubing roll cage, not finished -jks shackle hangers -currie shackles -6 35/12.50r15 Goodyear mtr tires The jeeps frame had rusted out so I set out to replace the frame. I searched until I found a clean original cj frame. The new frame needed the rear cross member replaced and some of the rear inner c-channel. I fabricated a new rear cross member out of custom bent 3/16” c-channel and repaired the inner c-channel with new metal. Mid way through the project I decided to stretch the jeep. I stretched the wheelbase 15” to 108” this makes the body the same length as a jeep tj unlimited so that a factory jeep soft or hard top will work with a little modification to the top of the windshield frame. I used two sections of the original frame to stretch the new frame by staggering the cuts in the inner & outer c-channel by 4” and fish plating the outside of the frame over the cuts. The spring main eye hangers are now recessed in to the frame for better clearance. The body was stretched so that the front section of the floor is 15” longer. To stretch the sides I used pieces from another original jeep body. The sides have also been boat sided at a 45 degree angle 4” up from the bottom. To boat side the body I made new rocker panels. I have removed the rust/rot from the body and replaced it with new steel and only some spots of surface rust remain. The cage has been started and is set up to be a 6 point cage with frame tie ins. The engine mounts and trans cross member are new custom units that I made to change the drive train offset to the right to accommodate the new left hand atlas t-case. I made the exhaust out of 409 stainless tig welded from the manifolds back, it has all three cats and is emissions correct with an aero turbo muffler. I’m selling the jeep as a project that needs finishing. It comes with a lot of extra parts. I know that I have not included everything it has a lot of custom fab work and will make an awesome jeep when finished. I would love to finish it but my family is growing and my priorities have changed so one of the projects is going to go. The jeep is for sale as is where is. The jeep has no warranty. I have a clear title for the jeep. I do not have any way to deliver the jeep as it will need to be trailered to its new home and I don’t own a trailer. The jeep currently does not move under its own power. A $250.00 non refundable deposit is due via pay pal at the end of the auction. The jeep is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing early for a local sale. I would consider a trade for a running stock jeep cj, 4x4 toyota pickup or a mid fifties car.
