Vehicle Detail

I've had this bike for 6 years and am selling it in moving abroad. The tires are new and it recently passed the Texas state inspection. It's in good condition: it's been garage kept for the majority of the time and I have records for all maintenance done since I've had it, plus some previous work. I have done the minor oil changes and brake fluid myself but have had all other work done by professional mechanics specializing in the older BMWs. I like to take care of the things that I own, so the bike has received regular maintenance and whatever repairs have been called for. The bike runs well; there is no vibration at any speed (max is about 85mph). I have used the bike on average once a week since owning it, mostly within town, and have not travelled farther than 150 miles in going between cities. The professional mechanics have commented that the bike is in good shape, noting that the engine sounds younger than it is in terms of mileage. Further condition details. All locks on the bike work: 2 top closures and back lock that attaches each side case to the frame, plus the gas cap. There is one key for the gas cap and two for the luggage cases. There are a couple spots on the bike that are worth mentioning. The faring has two marks on the left side, and the paint around the right mirror is cracked. The right portion of the luggage frame is broken; it could be repaired but is still able to carry 30lbs just fine without causing further damage so I haven't bothered. The main seat is cracked. Features. The faring is a rare after-market model--people comment on it and keep telling me they'd like to get their hands on something similar (sorry, don't know where it came from). History. I've owned the bike for 6 years. The previous owner purchased it from a dealer; he had a lot of work done on it professionally (have records) and then turned around and sold it to me shortly thereafter, deciding he wanted to stick with his Honda Goldwing. The original owner's information is written in the owner's manual; I don't know the history from the original owner to it getting to the dealership. Shipping and payment. You will be responsible for picking up the bike or having it shipped. My flight leaves Oct 2 for Japan; a friend or family member will meet you or the company for pickup. Depending on pickup, I will arrange with the buyer either to mail items and documentation as needed, or it will be available at pickup. I will be available via email or phone (Google Voice or Skype) as needed to complete the transaction. I'm including a number of items if they are of interest to the buyer. Original BMW parts: 2 oil filters, 1 air filter, assorted oils (fork, 80w90, 20w50, 10w50, brake fluid). Other items: 3 shop manuals, original owner's manual, battery charger, 2 helmets (Scorpion EXO, KBC, size M), 1 pair of gloves (First Racing, Style FR 105GL, size L), 1 pair of boots (ReVit, U.S. size 8.5), 1 jacket (Frank Thomas, size M).
