Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1982 Chevrolet Silverado K10 4x4 Stand Cab Short Bed Pickup truck. Some quick specs on the truck are it has a 350ci Small Block Chevy, TH350 Transmission, NP208 Transfer case and 10 bolt 8.5” front and rear differentials. Truck is a non a/c truck, has power steering, manual windows and locks. The truck is lifted 6” with 37” Mickey Thompson Baja Claws and equipt with 4.56 gears front and rear. I am an ASE Certified technician and a lot of work has been performed on the truck within the past 3 months and I will explain more below. Engine/Trans/Transfer Case/ Differentials: Although I cannot find the paperwork on the motor, it was rebuilt before I purchased it. The motor is a 350ci Small Block Chevy. The motor has a Moroso offroad oil pan, high volume oil pump, stock rotating assembly. The cylinder heads are GM, the motor has a small cam in it (I cannot remember brand and specs) but it has a slight lope at idle and has good power throughout the RPM band. It is topped off with an edelbrock intake and a Holley 650cfm carb. Motor makes a solid 50psi of oil pressure at idle! The motor has a brand new Napa starter with new cables. I re loomed the whole engine wiring harness under the hood and it looks very clean. It has new plugs, distributor cap, and rotor. The truck runs very well and starts right up every time! It has all new coolant hoses, heaters hoses, thermostat, and fuel filter. The engine oil was just changed and the whole cooling system has been filled with fresh coolant. Truck has new belts as well. The engine has long tube headers that are surface rusted in areas with a brand new tru-dual exhaust system that is VERY nice. The truck is decently loud but not unbearable! It sounds tough at idle! The transmission is a 3 speed TH350. The trans shifts perfectly and firm. I just replaced the fluid and filter and when I pulled the pan down it was perfectly clean. The transfer case also has fresh fluid in it. The transfer case shifts perfect and both 4 hi and low range work as well as 2wd. Both front and rear differentials have 4.56 gears in them. The rear diffential is open and the fluid was just changed. The front differential was just rebuilt completely with new bearings and seals. The front axle ujoints are in perfect shape and are not frozen like they almost all are! All other Ujoints are in good shape. The front ball joints have been replaced with greasable units. The front hubs are brand new Warn lockable and work flawlessly. All the steering components are tight and in good shape. The truck has all brand new brakes. All the brakes hoses are new, the master cylinder is rebuilt. The front has new calipers, pads and rotors were machined. The rear shoes have a ton of life left and were just adjusted. The truck stops well and has a firm pedal. Suspension/Wheels/Tires: The truck has a 6” Suspension lift. I cannot remember the brand name of the kit as it was installed when I bought the truck. The rear springs have been replaced so there are no blocks. The front leaf springs have brand new bushings and frame bushings as they were dry rotted and I replaced them. All 4 shocks on the truck are brand new Trailmaster SST and are designed for the 6” lift. The wheels on the truck are brand new Pacer 15x10 Aluminum wheels. They are flawless as I put them on less then a month ago. The tires are Mickey Thompson Baja Claws and are in perfect shape. Tires are 37x13.50. All the work I performed on this truck has less than 100 miles on it!!!! Interior: The interior on this truck is NICE! I just performed a lot of work to it. The only thing lacking is I did not replace the rubber floor mat and it is ripped a bit. This truck has been custom fitted with a set of seats out of a 94 Chevy pickup, it has a 60/40 bench. These seats look like they belong! I took a lot of time modifying the brackets to make them work and it paid off in the end! The seats are gray and the rest of the interior is gray in color as well. The passenger side of the bench slides manually. The drivers seat is power and I had the intentions to wire it up but have not gotten around to it. All the other panels in the truck have been re-dyed and look like new! The door panels have brand new arm rests, the fabric on the door panels is brand new, just recovered, and I made custom trim for the top section of the panel that looks great! The dash pad has a brand new plastic cover over it as the original was cracked and I wanted the interior to be nice! I also installed a brand new Autometer Tach. All the factory gauges work properly, I just installed all new bulbs in the stock dash, the fasten seat belt light and 4wd light in the dash function. The truck also has a sunroof installed. Truck has a brand new glovebox and the metal interior parts (i.e glove box door, under the dash pad around door panels) is all painted body color. The heater core is brand new and I cleaned out the whole heater box when I had it apart. The heat and modes work perfectly. Exterior: Truck was repainted when I purchased it. Truck is a dark purple color, the paint job on the truck is nice and the body work is nice. Keep in mind, its an old truck. The hood on the truck is fiberglass and has a scoop on it. The paint on the hood is not in very good shape as it is faded and oxidized looking. The rest of the truck paint is in nice shape, minimal orange peel and shines up decent. There are light scratches down both sides of the truck (probably from offroading, but not from me!) but they CANNOT be felt with your finger nail and are easily removed by buffing! To me, this truck on the under side is CLEAN and no muddy and does not show signs of being in the mud in the recent past! They are so small I cannot even get a picture of them. Rust on the truck is minimal, the rockers and cab corners are SOLID and have NOT been replaced! The only bubbling is around the fender lips on the bedsides and barely on the front fenders around the lips. The rust is only BUBBLES, it is still solid, it is by no means crusty anywhere! Look at the pictures, it is not even noticeable as this is very minor. I am just trying to give a very honest description of the body. There is no real visible rust, just paint bubbling. The truck has a drop bumper in the rear and a push bar up front. The fog lights on the front are functional and very nice at night! They are switchable from the cab. I painted some of the undercarriage but didn’t complete everything. I painted the diff covers, driveshafts, and steering arms black. The frame on the truck is SOLID and has NO real rusty areas. The inside of the bed is in good shape. The bed floor has a painted on bed liner type material on it.View a video of the truck starting here: http://s263.photobucket.com/albums/ii160/FastBlackSS/?action=view¤t=MVI_3232.mp4All in all this is a NICE truck that is RELIABLE! I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. I just did a lot of work to the truck and spent a LOT of time fixing it up. It runs perfectly, shifts perfectly, and everything works. I am only selling because I have to many toys and not enough time to use them! This truck looks great and sounds great and I got a LOT of compliments the few times I drove it. All the work listed above was done by me and it turned out great. I spent a lot of money getting this truck up to where it is today, and more importantly, a lot of TIME went into this project. PLEASE, feel free to ask any questions you may have and I can answer them for sure. I am sure I am forgetting a lot about the truck! I have a clear title for this truck in my name ready to be signed over. I can aid in shipping and delivery of this truck as much as possible. The truck is reliable and could be driven if need be. Just remember it has 4.56 gears and a 3 speed transmission. The truck is available for viewing before bidding, just contact me and we can setup a time!
