1949 studebaker pickup, If you want a perfect show truck, stop reading right now, because this is not it. HOWEVER, if you want an awesomely fun to drive daily driver that turns heads where ever you go, read on.This has been my daily driver for 2 1/2 years and it has been great. 49 studebaker body, ford ranger frame with brakes and steering, 350 chevy with 700R4 transmission. Tilt wheel, power steering, 15 inch American racing wheels that have been powder painted clear, so if you have dog that likes to pee on the tires, 1/8 th. inch stainless steel laser cut emblems, orignal studebaker heater that works, steel floor in the bed so you can pile your stuff in. Aluminum diamond plate inserts on the dash. Comes equipped with the poor mans security system, a switch to shut off the coil.The truck has a few quirks, the speedo is 20 mph fast, the gas gauge runs backwards, and the passenger door sometimes sticks and you open it from the inside. But hey, if you wanted a perfect truck, you would buy a new one. This one has character and style with a reasonable reserve compared to other trucks I have seen on ebay.I have had my fun with it and is time to move on, now its someone else's turn. Hope its yours.
