Vehicle Detail

General Information: This auction is for a 1991 Dodge Spirit RT T3/TIII Turbo. The vehicle has a clean title but has a NON-ACTUAL: Warning Odometer Discrepancy (ie. the Odometer is frozen at 132,458). I purchased the car a little over two years ago from a local dealer and did not know or meet the old owner of the car. I am selling the car because I recently got married this summer and I do not need a second project car. I bought the car originally as a project car and drove the car minimally over the last two years. The odometer is frozen at 132,458 and I have put much less than 5,000 miles on the car since I have owned it. The car was in similar condition to what it is now when I purchased it but I mad a few upgrades and improvements that are listed further below. Some of the Auction Guidelines: I am disclosing everything I know about the vehicle and as such will not accept returns of any kind. Also, the winning bidder will be responsible for picking up the car here locally in Dayton OH or paying for in full and arranging a third party transportation company to pick the car up here locally. I have only driven the car locally and do not know how it would handle driving long distance. A nonrefundable deposit of $500.00 is required within 24hrs of auction close via Paypal. Full payment is required within 3 days of auction close via Paypal only (no other forms of payment will be accepted including cash). Final Payment must be received via Paypal before pick-up will be arranged. If the deposit or final payment is not received by there respective due dates according to the terms above I reserve the right to sell the car to another bidder or to re-list it on Ebay. I am very busy and I am listing the car on Ebay to save time and therefore will not be opening the car up for personal visits in the meantime but I hope they will not be necessary because of all the detail I have provided. However, the winning bidder may of course inspect the car upon pickup after payment has been made in full to verify that the car is as listed. I am making every possible effort to be as transparent as possible about the car to expedite the process for everyone and I want to make sure it finds the home it deserves. If you have any questions please feel free message me as I will be responding to all questions every evening. Upgrades & Improvements When I purchased the car the valve cover gasket leaked. I cleaned the valve cover and replaced the gasket with great success. I believe it may still be leaking occasionally on an extremely low level (ie. a few millimeter bead of oil) but it seems that it is 99.99% fixed. I say may still be leaking because many times I don't see any leaks at all but you could see a drop when engine is really hot or after very long drives. Otherwise the car ran well and did not require any immediate repairs that I knew of at the time. During the following months I made some modifications as follows by my own choosing. With all of these modifications they were installed by me personally and I do not make any guarantees about there future performance or safety. You should inspect the car and make the necessary repairs or changes that you deem necessary or those of your mechanics. 1.) Added a generic aftermarket inter-cooler behind the front body piece and temporary semi-permanent piping setup. The car currently runs about 12-15 PSI naturally and the setup holds boost fine but occasionally a pipe may "pop off" because they are clamped an not welded. You may want to make a more permanent setup as the piping which is pictured above hangs low under the car with only a few inches of clearance from the ground. 2.) Upgraded fuel injectors to +40% from fwdperformance.com3.) Stage 4 ECU from fwdperformance.com calibrated for about 20-22 PSI4.) Fuel Rail from fwdperformance.com 5.) Replaced fuel system threaded hoses in engine bay6.) Replaced the stock air filter and housing with a K&N type filter7.) Replaced ignition plugs and wires (Magnecor wires) 8.) Added 3-Bar Map sensor which prevents fuel cutoff 9.) Added Pillar gauge pod with AFM and PSI gauges (Temporarily running through driver door not firewall) Engine & PartsPlease, see the added pictures of the car for more information but I will describe in general the condition of the car here. The car is in running condition and drives. I have not had any major problems with the car and have enjoyed driving it around town. I never wrecked or had any accidents with the car. The car has pulled strong and driven well since the day I purchased it. I have always left boost close to stock or natural levels 12-15psi. Right now it is running rich because it is partially tuned for higher boost levels because of the Stage 4 ECU and larger fuel injectors. The exhaust has leaked since I purchased the car and makes a semi-loud noise. It looks like the downpipe simply needs fastened down and seems to be the major culprit. The engine bay gets hotter with exhaust fumes because of this. I do not know how old the timing belt is. My mechanic said it was still ok when he was looking the car over. The battery is new. The tires are ok but old and could be replaced. They are holding air fine except the front diver side tire has a very slow leak. I fill it up periodically but it is leaking very slow. Exterior The cars exterior is reasonable. The car has quite a few marks, chips, dings, or scratches which I could not include in the 24 picture limit on Ebay but they are there. Otherwise it looks reasonable. Scratches are not to bad but they are there with none overly large. The car has quite a few small hail sized dings because of a hail storm we had a few months back. There are some areas with chips or scrapes like the spoiler, front bumper, and a few others. The driver and passenger side black mirror cases are faded and the driver side mirror is chipped/partly broken. The driver side passenger door is faded considerably. I have no idea why it is the only extremely faded body panel. My father suggested that it might not be original but there is no way I can tell otherwise to support this and I have no past information on the car. Lastly, the car has some under body type of rust. There is also a small spot on the corner of the cars top and some near the lower part of the diver side passenger door pictured above. I have taken many pictures of all of the spots I could see or find. You will see some rusty spots typically under panel and near the doors sometimes with holes. These seems to be the only spots as I have not seen any rust in the wheel wells. If you would like all of the pictures I have please send me a message with your email address and I will get them to you. Please, examine the pictures to see the condition of the body. Interior The interior is reasonable. I have cleaned it deeply since purchasing the car as I believe the previous owner may have smoked. It smells much better but still has a remnant smell to it. The carpets and upholstery are pretty good but there are some stains, marks, etc on the carpet front and rear. There is a tear on the steering wheel and the shift knob. The car also has a saggy roof which is more typical of American cars from these years. If you have any additional questions please send me a message on Ebay as I will be checking it every night about 10:00 PM EST.
