This 1992 Brilliant Black Mazda Miata MX-5 convertible is an original classic roadster and is nicely equipped for leisurely drives, fun adventures, and a fun car for track enthusiasts. I purchased the car when I moved to California in 2009 from a gentleman who needed something larger to fit in. At that time it had just under 100,000 miles on it. He had purchased it from its first owner, an elderly school teacher who pampered it and drove it solely to and from work. Since I've owned this car I've put highway miles on it, and done all regular maintenance necessary. I'm a non-smoker (as everyone else who has driven it has been as well), I absolutely love this car and when the top is down and the chrome roll bars are shining there isn't another Miata as attractive! This Miata is 20 years old and has some wear and tear on her, but nothing serious or too expensive to fix. I don't have the time or money to invest more into her or I would keep her. There is minor cosmetic damage to the rear finish panel from when I backed into an suv :( but the piece to fix costs $180. Also, someone broke into the Miata when I had the soft-top up and slit through the window. But this is also replaceable and isn't costly. I've just been driving her with the hard top instead!! There is a tear in the leather driver's seat about 6 inches long, but it is along the seam and can be taken to a shop to be re-sewn. The title is clear and the vehicle runs well. Its timing belt was replaced but no valves or gaskets were negatively affected. Also, the catalytic converter should be replaced to pass emissions tests. It is a brilliant piece of engineering and unfortunately needs to sell for culinary school tuition.
