This is a beautiful and Rare 1945 Dodge Ram 1 ½ ton Flat/Stake Bed Truck. Civilian Production was very limited from 1942 thru 1945. Chrysler was prolific in its production of war time materials, producing mainly military-spec trucks during this time. Not until 1946 “postwar” did Chrysler go back to full time Civilian production of trucks. So needless to say this is one of the few civilian trucks produced during wartime. Also during wartime very little chrome was used, note just the Ram hood emblem is chrome. The body is absolutely clean with no rust. The engine runs great, and the transmission works, as it should. The air breather is a filter unit but I have the original oil bath unit to go with the truck. The truck has only but used the last years for parades.
