No reserve auction! High bidder gets it. Buyer MUST pay for and pick up the car at my home within 1 week of auction end. I will not ship or transport the car. (if you live within a few miles of zip code 08083 I am sure we can work something out). I am located only 2 miles from I-295 outside of Philadelphia. This car is a 2 owner vehicle since new and only has 109,000 miles! It is rare to find a generation 1 miata with such low miles. I have driven the car all spring and summer. Fun stuff and handles great. The car always starts right up and the engine runs very smoothly. Car has new spark plugs and wires within the last 2 thousand miles. Heat works great. Air Conditioning works super cold and is 100%. Wipers, turn signals, horn all work fine. Interior lights are all working. Steroe is a recent aftermarket unit that plays AM/FM/CD/CDMP3 format. Stereo also has auxilary 1/4" jack input so you can connect a IPOD. Car was repainted in its original red color about 4 years ago. The paint has good gloss and presents very well. There are some scuffs and minor scratches, but a nice buff and wax will take them out. The major thing to note is that the rear plastic panel is cracked (note the photo close up). I broke this over the summer while mounting a bike rack onto the car. This is a plastic panel and is easy to replace from a junk yard. I felt pretty stupid when I did it. Great fun to drive . this cars handles great and has good pep, especially for an automatic. The 5 speeds are fun, but the automatic transmission makes commuting a lot more enjoyable So what is wrong with the car, you ask? (and please note I have been on e-bay for over 10 years and try and describe as honestly as possible. Please read and look at the photos. E-mail any questions and I will try and respond within a day or so.) Car Needs: 1) New window seals along the convertible top. The top itself is in fine shape, however, the seals along the windows drip in heavy rains. This is the prime reason I am selling the car. I don't feel like spending the $120 and time for new seals. http://www.gomiata.com/contopweat.html 2) There is a rust spot on the drivers lower rocker panel. It has been repaired with bondo in amature fashion. Does not look bad from 10 feet, but up close you can see it. Look close at photos. Its not bad and is not structural. 3) Passanger window is sticking. Window track /regulator has some type of problem. Should be a easy fix, as these are manual windows - not power. 4) there is a loose heat shield somewhere under the car and sometimes I can hear it rattle. Has no affect on how car runs or drives and should be a mater of getting under the car and tightening it. I bought the car for spring and summer fun and have just been too lazy :-) 5) will need new rear shocks soon. On big bumps it is noticable These cars dont have a lot of spring travel as they are so low to the ground anyway. 6) rear window on top is very clear. Replacement vinyl at some point not too long ago. The replacement has been glued in. Does not look bad, but not original window. 7) There is an oil drip someplace. Uses about a quart of oil every 1500 miles. Does not seem to leak when car is sitting, only if car is running, so I am thinking valve or distributor, cam seal? Don't know, but again, not major stuff here. GOOD LUCK and Happy bidding! Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer. Car is sold AS-IS and I have done my best to describe the car as accurately and completely as possible. I am driving this car almost daily, so if you would like to see/test drive the car, you will have to call or e-mail. I am selling locally, so may end the auction early if the car sells elsewhere. 609-206-8555 On Sep-14-11 at 20:06:48 PDT, seller added the following information:Miata has new alternator belt and new air conditioning belts as of Sept 14th.
