1986 Honda CRX HF. 187,000 original miles. Manual transmission, all original except Civic 14" alloys. I am the second owner and bought it locally from original owner with blown head gasket. Original owner had engine overhauled less than 30000 miles ago. She also had brand new carb put on same time. Head gasket has been replaced, along with the starter, new battery, new wiper motor, new fuel filters, oxygen sensor and new thermostat. Car was originally blue, but I painted it charcoal. Does have some rust and a small dent on rear driver side corner. Most of the rust is above the rear wheels, and I have bondo'd it as good as I could before painting it. I am by no means an auto body tech, but looks better than it did. Does not look as good as the picture shows but hey it gets better gas mileage than almost any car on the road today. Have looked at some of the top mileage brand new cars and have not seen any that get over 40mpg in town. Car gets over 40mpg on every tank. I have driven it for over three months with no problems. Does need an alignment or something as there is a slight steering wheel vibration at around 55-65 mph, but drives smooth at other speeds. Front tires in nice shape, rears getting down. Does have AC, but currently not working, possibly needs charged and belt put on? I will include a new belt as well. It does run and drive nicely, but does not want to idle well before it warms up. It may have a vacuum leak or need carb adjusted? Runs well at all times, except at idle. I can email detailed pics to anyone interested. NOTE: Catalytic convertor was plugged and removed prior to engine overhaul by original owner, so it may not pass emissions in states that have it, mine does not. As of today, the battery light flashed a couple of times while I was driving, not sure if loose connection or alternator on its way out? Here is a link for a reman alternator if interested.
