1957 BMW ISETTA CABRIO A great restoration project. Engine is free and can run. Body is mostly surface rust. The canvas sunroof and "drop-top" are in bad condition, they will need to be replaced. All 4 (yes 4!) tires are brand new and the rims have been beadblasted and powder coated in white to preserve them. All windows are intact. The door opens, hinges are in great shape, and stays open on it's own. The Isetta has "air conditioning" via front air grills that are a hallmark of the BMW line, the kidney grills. The "nerf" bars on the front and rear are solid and only need some refinishing. The motor, transmission and other essentials seem good for their age. Included is a new battery for the vehicle. This particular Isetta has a VIN indicating that it was one of the original 50 cabrios imported to the US in 1957. Everything seems to be present. It's a great little car and an awesome dream. I'm hopping to sell it to someone who has the time and resources to restore this car to it's full potential (and then I hope they send pictures!) Included with the purchase is John Jensen's book "Isetta Restoration".
