2001 Suzuki DR-Z

2001 DRZ400S I have owned this bike since 2004 when it still had less than 2000 miles on it. It has always been meticulously cared for. I have used it primarily for commuting to work during the summer months (30 miles per day) This bike has rarely been off road. The bike starts right up and runs excellent. I put a new chain and sprockets on as well as installed a new battery less than 1000 miles ago. The bike has may upgrades: skid plate, hand guards, aftermarket blinker lights, UNI air filter, just to name a few. The suspension had also been completely replaced with suspension off of a drz400E because in 2001 the S had inferior suspension to the E. This bike has been stored inside a heated garage all of its life. Oil and filter has always been changed at least three times per year. The bike is kept clean and tuned up. There is some normal wear on the bike. The plastic is starting to show its age. The plastic fuel overflow is cracked (not a problem as long as you don't try to put more gas in the tank than it will hold). The rear rim is a bit scratched up. No abnormal issues. No wrecks. Everything functions as it should. I usually average about 70 miles per gallon when commuting with this bike. The tires are Michelin Sirac and still have a decent amount of tread left. Feel free to ask any questions.. Summary: Mechanically and physically sound bike. I would be comfortable riding this across the country. It looks very nice and gets tons of comments. This is a strong running bike that is good to go. Delivery: I can deliver for $.75 per mile within 250 miles of Lebanon, Oregon. I may be willing to go further, but definitely not more than 500 miles. You are welcome to pick it up. I would be willing to pick someone up at the Albany Bus station, or Train Station.
