Vehicle Detail

1990 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc Z 1990 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc Z Click image for larger picture Car Location: South East Mass This is a 1990 IROC Z convertible with 113K miles. It has the original V8 engine, 700r4 automatic transmission with B&M shifter. This car currently does not run. Applying power to the starter wire will spin the engine. It seems that the car has a wiring problem as when the ignition is turned, the ignition does not get power. Could be a fusable link, or other issue with the wiring. Also, the original ignition key had been misplaced a few years ago, so the lock cylinder and key were replaced by the person I bought the car from. Unfortunately, there is no chip in the key, so one will need to bypass the VATs system to use the existing key. When I went through all the parts with the car, I then discovered the original key (!) but as the ignition cylinder was replaced, so it does not fit, but it should match the original VATs system. The VIN is 1G1FP33F4LL118734. This car would be great to fix up and cruise, or use as a parts car to restore yours. This car is the last year of the Iroc, and is the first year of the newer style guage cluster. I had planned to fix the car up and have a blast in it this summer, but I never got it running, and I am just not knowledgable enough about these cars to get it running. There is still time this summer for a more experienced Camaro convertible person to get this car ready for prime time, so I have chosen to make the car available for sale. Items on 24 hour constant power like head lights and power trunk work. This car has some of the interior out, like the console, door panels, rear interior panels, and trunk panels, which I think was done to address issues with the convertible top. The car had a new set of floor boards and the underside is is solid. The exhaust also looks good with few miles on it. The car has new hood struts which hold up the hood well. The hood appears to need a latch as it does not latch. The car has some awesome wheels. The rims are original iroc rims with original black lug nut covers and lugnuts, and the tires are Goodyear Eagle HP 245 60 16s. I believe the tires were new when mounted about a year ago, and were never driven on. The car was originaly white, and was painted yellow with flames some years ago. The header is in primer, and some of the yellow paint flaked off on the passenger lower rocker panel, and on the left rear bumper cover corner. The trunklid had a pedistal spoiler installed at some point in its past, so the holes will need to be filled. Also, the factory rear spoiler is present, but is loose and should be properly fastened. Some of the front air dam and fenders lack fasteners also. The front right fender has a dent on it that should be repaired. The inner small fender well on the right fender well allowing access to where the antenna is mounted is missing, and one should be put installed. The convertible top motor/latchassembly that bolts behind the trunk lid is currently not in place, and some of the cables may need to be replaced. I do not know if they work, as the rear motor/latch was removed from the car when I got it. The car comes with some replacement top cables, which I suspect are needed to replace the original ones still in place, and then the convertible top motor should be mounted back in place. The top can go down manually by hand if desired, and the top latches by the sun visors latch excellent. The convertible top has some small cuts and wear, and some loose edges near the top of the passenger window. Please do not bid until you have read all the description, viewed all the pictures. Some areas of the yellow paint has flaked off like on the right rocker and the left rear bumper cover. The header is in primer. The inside of trunklid, hood and doors under where the door panels were installed are still factory ogininal white. There is a dent on the right fender. The trunklid has holes from a pedistal spoiler that was removed, so the holes should be filled. The factory rear spoiler is loosly mounted on the car, and I usually keep it off the car since it is not properly mounted. It should be properly fastened to the trunk. The front air dam and fenders are also loosely fastened. The convertible top has wear and should be replaced. The inner small fender well allowing access to where the antenna is mounted is missing and one should be put on. Tires - The rims are original iroc rims with original black lug nut covers and lugnuts, and the tires are Goodyear Eagle HP 245 60 16s. I believe the tires were new when mounted about a year ago, and were never driven on.. The wheels and tires on this car are awesome! Interior - The interior has the door panels and rear interior panels out of the car. The convertible top will need some repair. The SIR airbag is not installed. The ignition key was lost and the ignition key cylinder and key were replaced but they key does not have the chip. Engine Bay - The car has the original 8 cyl motor and 700r4 auto trans. Trunk Compartment - Need cleaning some cleaning. Undercarriage - The floors were replaced some time ago, and the undercarraige is solid. The exhaust also looks solid. There are headers on the car and they have surface rust on them. Some parts - radio, screws, owners manual, rear interior side panels with speakers, door panels with handles, trunk interior panels (in addition to the ones in the trunk), (appears as new) steering column interior plastic (maybe turn singal cancelling cam) with wire harness, seatbetls, spare master cylinder, windshield washer reservior, console shiffter bezel with shift indicator and boot, ebrake handle, convertible top cables that go behind the side panels and rear seat (likely needed for top), two airbags, front directionals that mount in the front facia, two radio/heater bezels, and more, as pictures show. There are also fog lights not pictured, and one of them has broken glass so it will need replacement
