2001 Mazda MX5 Miata History and General Descriptions: This car is a 10 year old vehicle, loved, cared and excellent conditions. I bought it in 2007 as week-end car, to enjoy the roadster's driving style and the Florida weather. I drove the car for a total of 9000 miles since its purchase. The car was always stored at home with a dust cover in the shade of the carport. I have bought a Jeep in January 2011 and since then, I used the Miata for only 300 miles. We need the carport extra room and we decide to sell it. The configuration Blue exterior and Black Leather interiors makes this car look very pretty, elegant and sober at the same time The 5 Speed Manual Transmission, is the perfect set-up for the agile sporty driving of this roadster, also the manual transmission drastically reduce the fuel consumption vs. the automatic trans (true fact in every vehicle) Pictures where taken in 2 locations at my business (last week) and at home (5 weeks ago) Conditions/Notes: As stated above the car as been loved and cared, everything works, the mileage is very low for the age. The car always had best quality lubricant (Mobil One) and maintenance parts, only Premium gas (93 Oct) was always used as recommended by the manufacture. (No cheap 10 minutes oil change ever made) Tires are nice looking low profile Cooper and their status is at 80%, AC is very cold (we almost never used it), the 1.8 liter engine sounds and works like Swiss watch, Clutch is perfect since I am an expert in driving manual transmission vehicles for all my life. The excellent quality leather interiors (seats and steering wheel ) are still really good with no rips, worn out or unshaped spots (we are 135/125 pounds light people). Never smoke in it (we dont smoke) Never food in it (we eat, but not in the car...) For the record: The Mazda original vinyl soft top w/glass and defrost is still good looking and usable. However few stitches start to deteriorate also there are 2 small rips (about 1 inch) (1 close to the frame 1 to the rear glass). If the car will be used in Northerner areas with typical fall/winter weather conditions the top will need a replacement otherwise is still good looking with no leaks. Online prices for a new top run between 300 and 700 dollars (from vinyl to fancy heavy canvas). Brakes Pads will need a replacement in probably 1000-1500 miles The Carfax report shows 2 accident. The first one was before I bought the car and I was able to see the report (driver fender and headlight repaired) due to a minor downtown low speed collision. Second one happened to me while the car was parked in mall's parking lot someone hit the rear bumper causing a 2 inches crack that was repaired immediately after the report.
