I purchased this truck a couple of years ago from a vehicle insurance auction with a salvage title. The truck required the right fender, front bumper and headlights replaced to be made road worthy. The hood and grille are original and required no body work. It was successfully inspected per state law and issued a clear, but "rebuilt" title. I have included a photo of the title. To my knowledge it can now be licensed anywhere and driven. The truck has simply sat in my driveway since that time and I have determined I have no real use for it. I had planned to use it in the winter and to haul things when needed but I cannot justify it just sitting there. The truck runs great, the tires are in decent shape and the 4x4 seems to work fine. It is loaded up with most of the options you would expect. The only thing I know wrong with the truck is that the air bag light is on. I have no idea why since the air bags in the truck have never been deployed and it is the original windshield. It just came on one day. The other issue with the truck is that there is apparently a problem with the heater/ac controls. It blows out fine but seems to be reversed. When you turn it on AC it blows out the defrost vents and vice versa? I have never investigated why. I realize the truck has a rebuilt title but according to the NADA the "rough trade in" value is $9,475. The clean value is $14,975 (www.nadaguides.com) I am looking to only get my investment back and it is much, much less than the rough trade in value. I have not driven the truck farther than to the dump once and to a convenience store on my block so I cannot speak to how it would do on a long trip but I would not forsee any issues. My loss will be your gain. This would make a great truck for anyone if they address the two minor issues I mentioned.
