Up for auction is a very original and rare 1974 Mercury Ford Capri MK1. This is the last year of this body style and these are very difficult to find in this condition. 2.8L V6, 4-speed, dual exhaust, decor/GT edition. Has rare factory air conditioning that needs a charge. Copper interior and exterior, car was painted and restored around 2004-2005 and has been garage kept, somebody loved this car at one time. There are some rust bubbles and chips on the body, but looks good from 20'. if you know these cars they are prone to door jam, floor and frame rot- these jams, floors and frame rails are in excellent shape. there was some cosmetic bondo work around the wheel well and rocker panel. Car needs front struts- i have a used, but seemingly good pair of strut cartridges that i will throw in. It also needs rack & pinion mount bushings (est $30 for parts) Fresh; oil, plugs, filters, wipers, etc. All exterior lights, dash lights, blower fan and window work as they should. carpet is roginal and is sun faded, but not ripped up. I drive it all the time and its a cool lil car- you'll get lots of thumbs up and "wow, I havent seen one of those in years!" comments. Comes with used, but usable, seat uphostery, used strut cartridges, repair manual and original 1974 dealer brochure. Pick up in SE Pennsylvania 18073 or shipping at buyers expense. This is a 37 year old car and is not perfect, but you can drive her today.
