Up for auction today is a 1998 Range Rover 4.0 SE that I am listing for a friend who is not on e-bay. This Rover is the 50th Anniversary model and has almost every option offered that year including the Rhino front and rear brush guards, towing package, fog lights, roof rack and floor boards. The leather is still in really good shape with only a little bit of cracking on the driver's bolster. It is a diamond in the rough, and has not driven in about one year. It starts and runs just fine, but will need a bit of love to get it road worthy. Here is a list of what the owner says it will need; It will need a new battery. It jumps fine, but will not hold a charge. The exhaust behind the cat needs to be replaced. The current owner has the unit, he just has not taken the time to install it. The passenger front wheel bearing has some wiggle to it. Again, the current owner bought a new hub for it, but has not installed it. The headliner needs to be replaced. The driver's door window drops down about two inches- probably needs some work on the track. The passenger heater servo is not working. The driver's side still gets plenty of heat. AC has not been charged in a while, so it does not blow cold. The windshield has a small crack running across it down near the bottom, below the line of sight. Lastly, the passenger rear airbag suspension has a small leak and lets itself down over the course of a few days. The paint has a few minor imperfections.
