Relisted - This a 1973 BMW 2002TII with documented repair history and the history of when in 1990 Lumma in Germany (BMW tuner shop) turned it into a convertable re-inforceing body and frame. I have all the drawings photo's etc of the transformation as well as some $23,000 worth of reciepts (including the new crate tii long block motor installation) This is a clear title nice BMW even the dash top looks good although I would redo the wood for the dials. All dials are european as well. So I guess the mikles are actually kilo's. Previous owner states miles are ok. I would go with Odometer reset when car was redone in 1990 in Germany since it left new.. Mech. Fuel injected manual transmission and a blast to drive. After paint I had planned to clean up wheel wells in gloss black and fix the small seem seperation in drivers seat, pretty easy fix as the center of seats are some kind of clothe incerts. See Pics. and redo the top (since it has glass side windows and plastic rear window...Frame works perfectly. One latch is missing. So I leave the top down and drive on decent weekends. I have also used a paper clip to hold it latched once.. Looks like a BMW 3 series but I did not confirm... Normally I would do everything but I have an opportunity to by a chop top I've been eyballing and if it goes great if not I'll finish the restoration. It runs and drives just fine.. Has OZ wheels and lets just call it a good driver... I included all the pics including tags (yeah I got lazy and didnt remove yellow over spray on tag) No major rust issues - Just painted and i give it a 8 . Need minor overspray on wheel wells etc touched up all new clips for all the trim. And I have a new exhaust hanger around here somewhere. The good Paint is new (it was faded when I bought it) Now matched in BMW Yellow Motor is a crate motor installed by a BMW authorised shop in Houston (all records available) and has a couple k miles on it (have all the service records) Runs and drives great ((Just got back from a 50 mile ride last week in over 100 degrees weather here in Dallas. Starts and drives with no issues Keep in mind it's a 1973 so it is sold AS is were is. Although I also did a trip last month for 1,000 miles with no issue. Yes thats a European trailer hitch and electrical hook up (I was going to paint my RS1100RSL to match and tow but I liked the Marakesh red). Things that need attention Clutch -its getting near the top so I need to look at it and see if its an adjustment or needs a new one...assume it needs a new one to be safe (although service records last year have a new clutch and Throwout bearing... Top - although basically functional and with side Glass It really should be replaced its faded, stitched and small tears etc...Stitching loose around rear plastic window..Mostly to improper raising and lowering at the paint shop Interior...carpet kit needed as I have been storing in my warehouse and its pulling up and needs to be R&R. As you can see a couple of stainless trim pieces are not installed need more clips. Yes OZ racing rims and No I do not have the two missing center BMW caps...EBAY? Basically its a dailey driver with decent paint and needing the normal TLC for a car of its age. The good news is the list of repaired and replaced parts including engine, bushings, trailing arms etc etc the 23K of work does NOT include the lumma work.
