Vehicle Detail
I have been the caretaker of this beautiful Cuda for the last couple of years and it is time to sell. In my 2 years of ownership I have only cleaned, changed the oil, put a modern battery that looks like the original and driven and enjoyed this car. I have never had to do anything mechanically to the car, it runs perfect everytime and has never failed me. The car is as dialed in as it was the day it left the factory. This was a high end restoration that still will win a lot of trophies if that is what you're into. I will outline the various aspects of the car: Car: I have a lot of the original paperwork that the original owner got when he purchased the car new from McClain Chrysler Plymouth on June 30, 1970. Build sheet, warranty card, consumer info, original owners manual, and transfer of title to second owner on October 21, 1974. All the paperwork and owners verify that the mileage is correct for the car(76,500), with the car being so old it is a milage exempt car. Exterior: Car is sprayed in the beautiful original yellow. Paint is outstanding and as good as any new car paint job(in my opinion). Underside is finished off as nice as top side as pictures indicate. Doors open and shut as good if not better than a new car(really, with the touch of a finger), by far the best muscle car doors I've ever owned. Hood appears to be original to the car, really nothing to gig on the exterior of the car. Even has the original type polyglas tires on the original rims. Interior: Perfect, really nothing to gig on inside, all gauges work, clock works from time to time but other than that the interior looks the way it did when it rolled off the assembly line. Trunk: Looks the way it did(if not better) the day it rolled off the assembly line. Correct mini spare(never been on the ground), jack and accessories. Nothing to gig. Engine: Engine runs perfect, no noises, smoke, anything like that. Comes to life with the turn of the key and runs like a dream, sounds mean. Engine is numbers matching as verified by the white board I have that is great for displaying at shows. Decodes all the numbers on the tag too. Most of the components have the part number stickers on them, as I said, this is a high quality restoration. Since it's restoration, this car has been pampered and treated like a king. Like any 40+ year old car there are little things you can do here and there but this baby is ready to roll as is. Beautiful car at a fraction of the resto cost, or what they cost 2 years ago. As with all my auctions, no reserve but you will not be disappointed in this car. Thanks for lookingOn Aug-31-11 at 11:38:31 PDT, seller added the following information: 8/31/11: I wanted to thank everyone for their comments on the car, yes it is a beautiful car, the best AAR Cuda for the money hands down. I've had several questions on the authenticity of the car. Yes it is a real AAR Cuda. It is in the Galen Govier registry and I have several original pieces of paperwork from June 30, 1970 that state the vin and it being a Cuda(Warranty Card, consumer info card, second title), all of these state the vin. Also, the last picture shows the whiteboard with 3 pictures of the engine. I know you can't see what they say but one is of the vin, stamped by the oil pan, one is the AAR casting number for a TA 340 8, and the last one is the casting date. All these are correct for this car(obviously, since it's the original engine). Thanks again,
