2007 GL1800 Goldwing w/Factory Warranty! The nicest, cleanest, best cared for '07 you will find! Garage kept/battery tender One ownerClear Texas title (no lien) Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) Honda/Garmin NAVI GPS Navigation Metallic Crucible Orange Never wrecked or damagedTons of extras and add-ons (see below)Genuine Honda Extended Warranty (Good thru 10/13/2013) Garmin Zumo 550 GPS Now Included! I am selling my 2007 Goldwing which I purchased new in November, 2006 from Neosho Powersports in Neosho, Missouri (the photo with me in it is the day I picked up the bike at the dealership). I purchased this bike with one goal in mind, to see as much of the USA as possible on 2 wheels. My girlfriend and I have been to more than 40 states on this bike and we just returned from a 3,400 mile journey! The bike has been setup for long-distance touring and is ready to ride another 150,000 miles by some lucky owner. The Crucible Orange is a rare color and was only produced in 2007. Without question, this was the BEST color offered on the 2007 model. The paint literally changes colors depending on the lighting. ABS and Navigation This Goldwing has Honda factory navigation (from Garmin) and Anti-lock brakes. I specifically purchased this bike with ABS because I intended to pull a trailer and did not want to risk locking up the wheels in an emergency. Fortunately, I have never had to even engage the ABS, but it is a real safety feature that I think is well worth the extra money. Maintenance History I do as much of my own maintenance as possible. I have worked on motorcycles my whole like and like to make sure it gets done right. The most important maintenance item on any bike is changing the engine oil on a regular basis. Nothing affects engine life more. Even though Honda recommends changing the oil every 5,000 to 7,000 miles, I have always attempted to change the oil every 3,500 miles. I use quality synthetic oil (Mobil 1) and always replace the filter when I change the oil. I do take the bike to the dealer when I need new tires installed, or warranty work performed. I have a spreadsheet showing the maintenance history on the bike. I have even posted some maintenance videos on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpwosQzLKWM EXTRAS Summary: Traxxion "Full Monty" Suspension System - $2,300 (w/ All Balls tapered bearings) Wingsoft Large - $539V-Stream Special Edition Windscreen - $394Bushtec hitch w/harness - $350Honda Spoiler w/LED brake light - $299EC Platinum Halogen Driving Lights - $199Pathblazer and Tailblazer modulators - $150Utopia Backrest - $189Muth Mirrors - $239Baker Hand Wings - $69Tulsa Belly Pan - $59Kury Ergo Highway Pegs - $179Kury Transformer Passenger Footboards - $224Kury Fork Brace - $233Honda Extended Warranty - $500Honda Factory Service Manual - $150Kennedy Cellset 2 Harness for Garmin Zumo - $225Garmin Zumo 550 GPS w/XM radio antenna - $799 (Now Included In Auction) Total for extras: $7,097 (not including labor installation) Now, we all know that you never get all of your investment back on aftermarket parts that are added to a bike. However, I point this out because if you were to purchase a brand new Goldwing and wanted to bring it up to the level of this bike, you would be looking at this additional investment, not only in money, but in labor costs and time. This bike is ready to roll...now! You can literally purchase this bike and head out on a 5,000 mile cross-country tour tomorrow! More Detail On Extras Traxxion Dynamics Suspension - I rode the bike to Woodstock, GA when I had about 10,000 miles on her and had the "full monty" Traxxion suspension installed. (http://www.traxxion.com/hondagoldwing.aspx). The cost of this upgrade was just over $2,500 and it makes a huge difference in the handling and ride quality of the bike. The stock Honda Goldwing suspension is basically junk. This bike literally glides down the highway and absorbs bumps that the stock suspension sends jolts through your arms. Unquestionably, this is one of the best features of this bike. I also returned to Woodstock to have the front forks serviced at about 40,000 miles (new seals, replace fork oil, etc.). Wingsoft Large Seat Modification - I am 6' 2" tall and the stock seat left me feeling a bit cramped. I sent my seat to the guys in Austin at Wingsoft and had the Wingsoft Large upgrade (http://www.bikesolutionsllc.com/WingSoft%20Large/WingSoft%20Large.htm). This was a $539 upgrade for the rider and passenger seat. The seat has much better foam that the Honda stock seat and is great for any rider 6' tall or taller. If you are shorter than 6' tall, you may want to swap this seat with a standard Goldwing seat. You could easily sell this seat on eBay for enough to cover the cost of a stock seat. V-Sream Special Edition Windscreen - I have tried three different windscreens and this is my favorite. The Special Edition is 6mm thick (thicker than the regular one) and does a great job of directing air up and over your head. I also think the style of the V-Stream compliments the lines of the bike. $394 Bushtec Trailer Hitch - Since I own a Bushtec trailer, the bike has been equipped with a Bushtec pin-style trailer hitch and wiring harness. This a $350 upgrade item. Note: I also have a Bushtec Quantum GL trailer with matching paint that I am willing to sell separately. Honda Spoiler w/LED brake light - I installed the matching Honda spoiler with LED brake light. $299 Electrical Connection Platinum Driving Lights - I have installed the top-of-the-line EC Platinum driving lights in the cowl. These lights have the OEM switch and put out a very bright beam that makes the bike VERY visible to oncoming traffic. $199 Pathblazer and Tailblazer modulators - I have installed both of these safety items and I am a BIG believer in them. The Tailblazer causes the spoiler brake light to flash rapidly about 5 times each time you apply the brakes, then goes to a solid brake light. The Pathblazer is a headlight modulator/flasher that works with the high beam switch. During daylight, when you turn on the high beams, the high beams flash rapidly to dramatically increase your visibility to oncoming traffic. At night, your high beams work normally. $150 Utopia Backrest - Great for long distance riding, the Utopia backrest is the best one made for the Goldwing. The backrest flips forward for passenger access and I also have the vinyl bag that attaches to the back of the Utopia. $189. NOW INCLUDED! Garmin Zumo 550 GPS w/X Radio Antenna - The Garmin Zumo 550 is a portable, weatherproof GPS that has been a great touring companion. The benefit of the Zumo over the Honda NAVI is that it can easily be programmed using Garmin's computer software. You can create your own custom routes on your computer, then upload them to the Zumo. The Zumo 550 also has XM satellite radio built in (with the XM antenna) as well as an MP3 music player. You can also connect your Bluetooth cell phones to Zumo so you can make or receive phone calls through the helmet earphones/mic. The Zumo comes with a quick-release mount so you can easily remove it and take it inside with you (i.e. when staying overnight at a hotel). This item was previously excluded from the auction, but I have decided to include it in the next round of bidding. $799 Baker Handwings - These two small adjustable plexiglass pieces mount underneath the rear view mirrors and make a HUGE difference in directing and deflecting wind. In the winter, they help to keep your hands warm and in the summer, they can be rotated to direct more air to your body. $69 Muth Mirror LEDs - The Muth LED rear view mirrors are another safety item I would not be without. I have the blue glass models which reduce glare during the daytime (http://www.muthco.com/products/vehicles/?make=Honda+Motorcycle&model=Goldwing&submit=Search). $239 Honda Factory Extended Warranty - I purchased the 4-year Extended Warranty from Honda and it is good through 10/13/2013. So you will have more than 2 years of remaining warranty on this bike! Unlimited mileage. $500 Tires - I have a set of Bridgestone tires installed on the bike and I have found them to be the best for the Goldwing. This set was put on right before our last road trip and have about 5,000 miles on them. They should be good for another 5,000 to 7,000 miles depending on your driving habits. Battery - The battery is about 6 months old. I keep the bike on a Battery Tender every night. The bike comes with the Battery Tender quick release cable already installed, so all you need is the Battery Tender and it is "plug and play" baby! But wait, there's more! - I also have Kury highway pegs and Transformer passenger foot boards installed ($400). I will also provide the owner with all Owner's Manuals that came with the bike and a complete Honda GL1800 Service Manual ($150). THIS JUST IN! I just this week completely repainted the lower exhaust covers and front cowl to look better than new! I had three weeks while letting 2 broken ribs heal so I decided to take on this project. There were a few small road rash scratches from normal road gravel, common to any Goldwing. All parts were stripped, primed, painted with metallic paint and 3 coats of clear. Each piece was meticulously wet sanded, polished and buffed out to remove any orange peel. I even added a small piece of clear protective film (Clear Bra) to the underside of the front cowl to prevent future damage to that area. In fact, you can even watch the 4 part video I made of the entire process! http://www.youtube.com/user/cdikmen#p/u/4/Ur7Tiu4DVag FAQs Q. What about a test ride? A. Sorry, no test rides are available. You are welcome to come look the bike over in person and I will of course start the bike up for you. Q. Is 60,000 miles a lot of miles for a motorcycle? A. For any motorcycle other than a Goldwing, yes. A Harley engine, for example, would generally need a complete overhaul after 50,000 to 75,000 miles. It is not uncommon to find Honda Goldwings with 200,000 trouble-free miles on them, and 100,000 miles is typical. It is one of the reasons that Honda offers an unlimited mileage warranty. The 1800cc engine in the Goldwing has been in production since 2001 and is virtually bulletproof. Q. Is there anything else I should consider? A. I have bought and sold many used motorcycles over the years. For me, the most important things are maintenance history and knowing that a bike has been garage kept. A bike (or car) that has spent significant time in "the elements" will experience rapid deterioration of cables, hoses, paint, plastics, etc. This Goldwing has spent its entire life in my garage (except when we are on a road trip, even then I keep it covered overnight). And, the maintenance has been second to none. Q. Payment Method A. I will only accept CASH in person. No credit, no cashier's checks, no certified checks, no personal checks. I have sold motorcycles and cars on eBay and every transaction has gone smoothly. You should be able to get cash ($100 bills) from your bank. Typically, we can meet at my local bank (about 3 blocks from my house) where we can complete the transaction. My bank can count the cash and deposit for me into my account, and I can sign over the Texas Title to you. I will also provide you with a complete Bill of Sale and all other required paperwork. Please notice that I have a 100% Rating with eBay. txgoldwing Store On Sep-01-11 at 14:52:47 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI, there is no cost to transfer the Honda warranty to the new owner. The warranty follows the VIN number in Honda's computer system. Warranty transfer is automatic and free.
