I bought the bike a while back. It was in pristine condition with only 42K miles on the clock. The current picture is of the bike in as-received condition. I used it for a few Baja trips, bashed it around, and dumped it on occasion in the soft sand or on babyhead roads. So it has a few cosmetic issues (and I'm trying to add current pictures), but it's adventure bike, and a (relatively) low mileage example of a dealer-converted PD. The good: Less than 49K miles, heated grips, factory luggage, luggage covers and Bagster tank cover with matching tank bag (but see note below), Fastways front pegs, VDO oil temp and voltage gauges, PIAA lights, seat built on Corbin base, and Top of the Line rear rack. Bike is from a smoke-free home. The not-quite-as-good: Needs a new windscreen for the perfectionist (unless, like me, you're partial to the MadMax look); seat needs to be re-stitched or preferably recovered; retaining clips on Bagster need replacing to mount matching tank bag; PIAA covers could be replaced (ditto on the MM look); needs battery; broken front turn signal stalk; handlebars feel like one side was tweeked slightly; factory rear shock; front tire is older but still plenty of tread, rear has a split in the sidewall, so is only a rim protector; hasn't been registered for a couple of years and though it has clear title the title document is also stashed somewhere in the aforementioned storage space, so a California buyer would have to deal with the dreaded DMV (and would be responsible for any fees to re-register). Sold on a Bill of Sale only, or for additional cost I'll order a replacement title, or I'll be happy to forward the title after I clear out my storage area. Plus shipping from NoCal, or fly here, fiddle for a day or so, and ride home. Or have a tire(s) and battery shipped to me, give me a day or two, and I'll set her up and make sure she's ready to ride. Adventure-cred patina at no extra charge. Did I mention that this bike has only HALF the mileage of the typical GS of comparable vintage?
