1978/79 MG-Midget Parts/Project Car This is a complete California desert car. Put brakes on all four corners, pull and replace the existing engine with a rebuilt 1500cc engine and enjoy the pure experience of a true English sports car experience. This car has been stored, unlicensed, unregistered, and un driven for better than ten years. Storage has always been inside a building and covered with a plastic sheet or something similar. The brake pads are rusted to the drum/disc; the engine is frozen. The water hoses have been eaten by mice. The dash is not cracked, the rubber bumper requires only Armor All or other such treatment to shine; and the upholstery is complete. The seats are not ripped and appear to have newer covers. The trunk is upholstered in black, the same as the front. The top, although not closed in the photos, functions smoothly and is covered with a black pebbled "leather" that has only two small wear smudges on the top cross bow. The chrome fittings are excellent and are not pitted. All plastic lenses are in place and uncracked. The speedo shows a bit over 93,000 miles. The wheels are old school alloy clones of Minilite or Pantosports. The tires have tread, but are old and stiff and one is leaking air. Car can be pushed, but it should be trailered. I acquired this vehicle in satisfaction of a debt. I have clear title. Although this vehicle is offered as a "parts car" it really is so complete and straight that new brakes and a rebuilt 1500cc engine would make someone a great weekend driver. The body is straight with some small parking lot rash. The paint is not show quality, but looks good from 5 feet. No apparent body rust. Thanks for looking..
