Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1973 Triumph TR5T, sometimes referred to as the Adventurer. This model Triumph is somewhat rare, as it was only produced in 1973 & 1974. This bike is an "enduro class" bike which is a street legal dirt bike. The only things original on the bike are the frame, motor, tank, and rims. Tires are fairly new Dunlop knobbies, which are DOT approved for street use. It has a 21 inch in the front and an 18 inch in the rear. The seat is a LaPera solo seat. Handlebars are solid aluminum flat trackers. Lights are a 5-3/4" chrome up front, with your standard aluminum Sparto tailight in back. Rear fender is your generic six inch flat chopper fender. Exhaust pipes are aftermarket high scrambler type pipes with the baffles removed. Air filter is a screened aluminum velocity stack. For simplicity, I have removed the battery. The bike runs like a classic Triumph should. Tickle the tickler, prime the kicker a few times, and one or two solid kick brings her to life. This bike is a blast to ride and it gets twice as much attention as my Harley, which costs six times as much. There are no dings or dents in the tank, but the yellow paint "swooshes" are old & scratched. I have made several "personal accents" to the bike, which gives it some character and reflects my values. Any potential buyers need to keep in mind this is a 38 year old motorcycle. As such, it will need tinkering & tweeking from time to time to keep her running like the vintage Triumph that she is. The bike is being sold as is and all sales are final so ask your questions before you bid. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. Thank for taking a look at this fine specimen of a truly unique Triumph and good luck should you choose to make a bid.
