**1970 Chevrolet CORVETTE ** **FIRST TIME OFFERED!** *** BIG BLOCK TWO TOP ROADSTER !! *** **** ONE OF A KIND! *** Really BEAUTIFUL old Vette. * I've sold about 100 Vettes in my day. This one is one of the most stunning. It has such a special look. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to buy it. I can not verify the mileage, the title will say exempt. I think I have an odometer statement from the owner before the dealer I bought this Vette from, stating the miles to be 45,000 actual. I was told that it was in storage for about 18 years before it was brought out and freshened up. The big block is a 454 from a Corvette, but I cannot say it is the original block. I believe this car was an original 390 horse big block 454. It is an automatic. The intake is Edelbrock. The carb is a competition Carter and both still look very fresh. WHAT A GREAT LOOK. I just love the modifications. The engine bay was upgraded with some chrome and a big aluminum radiator with a sealed overflow system. The rear quarters were skinned with the wide flair lips so a bigger tire could be added. We used to just flair the lips, but this quarter skin with the lips integrated looks terrific and obviously doesn't give you the cracks and uneveness of a bondo lip job. The tires and wheels have NO MILES ON THEM! It came to me with new tires and super sharp polished Torque Thrusts. I just washed the blue off the T/A Radials. There are spacers behind the wider than normal T/A's. The interior is really nice. Rerugged and newer seat covers were added. Nice stereo too. The CHROME HAS BEEN RESTORED!. Beautiful bumpers and mirrors. I am not sure how long ago it was painted, but it isn't a bubbly, bumpy, boogered up paint. Someone knew what they were doing. There are a handful of little touch ups. There is extra custom touch up paint in the glove box. There is a 3 to 4 inch repair to the left rear wheel lip. You have to get up close to see it. The frame has NEVER BEEN PAINTED. It has a skin of rust of course, but is rock hard and still has some original crayon marks. Very solid everywhere underneath. The spare tire holder is missing. The softop is LIKE NEW! Looks like it was done when the car was refreshed. ** LOOKING FOR A BETTER PLACE TO PUT SOME MONEY OTHER THAN THE ROLLERCOASTER STOCK MARKET? A BIG BLOCK, COOL LOOKING, TWO TOP VETTE IS BETTER THAN MONEY IN THE BANK! Sure classic cars saw a correction as did most other collectibles. But from what I have seen at the classic car auctions lately, the collectible car market has been stable and shows no signs of any further correction. The prices have been holding steady or going slightly up for the past 20 months or so. Attention dealers! Take this one to Fall Auburn, Carlisle or Charlotte. There is room for a good profit.
