You are looking at a completely restored 1964 GMC 1000 Series half ton pickup. This was purchased by us from the original owner. The Original owner purchased this truck locally to be used on his farm, and was always stored in the barn when not in use. This was a totally rust free rig when we got it. There was some dents and dings in the front sheet metal and the wood bed was toast. This truck was restored the right way, with no expense spared. This whole truck is reassembled with stainless steel hardware. The motor is the tried and true GM High Torque 230 that has been completely rebuilt. The motor has under 200 miles on it since rebuild. The transmission is the compound 4 speed that shifts great and was resealed at the time of the engine rebuild. The steering is manual, but has a rebuilt steering box and column, new tie rod ends and idler arm. The rear end is the optional Eaton with posi traction. the rear end has been serviced with full synthetic fluid, and a fresh gasket. The bearings were done by the previous owner two years ago, but I have no documentation of that work done. The suspension consists of coil spring front and leaf spring rear. The front suspension has all new springs,bushings and bearings, the rear has rebuilt leaf spring packs with new bushings. We decided to go all the way with the body and frame. Everything was stripped off of the frame and replaced new or completely rebuilt. The cab, bed and doors are all originals and blocked out before paint. The front fenders and grill are new. The body was originally factory painted code 12846 light blue. The entire body has been painted factory 8080 white in PPG DAR 2058 single stage paint inside and out. the complete underside of the cab has been undercoated to take some of the road noise away. The bumpers and grill have been powder coated in a brite silver with two baked on clear coats over the top. The bed of the truck received new hickory bed wood with a rich mahogany stain and five coats of polyurethane. The frame, driveline and rear differential were sanded down and painted with PPG black paint. The wiring is all new. The switches are new, the upholstery is new, the rubber is new, the knobs are new, the dash is completely rebuilt, the factory rubber mat has been replaced along with the sound deadener. There is truely nothing untouched. Every piece has ben replaced, rebuilt or refinished. This truck is ready to go, nothing is needed. This is an excellent deal at this low reserve price.
