Vehicle Detail

Here is a 1997 BMW 750IL Luxury Sedan that needs some work. I purchased this sedan a few months ago in non-running condition from a mechanic who didn't have the diagnostic tools to get it started. Took it to a BMW technician who performed diagnostics, replaced an ECU module and got it running, but it still needs work and I've run out of time to invest into this project. The car runs but it has low compression on a couple of cylinders. The car idles barely and runs with power at above 2500 RPMs, but you need to keep a little bit of gas pedal in order for it to stay running at a stop light. The mechanic stated that it is getting pressure in the radiator, and also the oil on the dipstick looks like milk, both which are signs of needing head gasket replacement. However, we did not take the engine apart, and the reason for the low compression was not investigated. The body and paint of the car are in great condition, except for some damage to the passenger rear quarter panel as seen below. Windows have elegant tinted glass. The transmission of the car is flawless. At higher RPM's, the car has plenty of power and cycles through all of the gears with plenty of power. The interior is overall in good shape, but has a handful of minor issues. The glove compartment is missing the closing latch so it does not close. One of the hand rests shows wear and does not stay closed. Some of the steering wheel leather is peeling off. Power windows, radio/OBD and sunroof do not have power. The power seat switch moldings are not quite attached to the seats like they should, but the drivers power seat works. The power window switch and window shade from the left rear door were removed, but they are included with the car. Rear parking distance sensors were removed for some reason. The rest of the car appears to be complete. The factory phone and 6-disc CD changer are included. Xenon headlights work great. Front seats are in ok condition with no tears. Rear seating area looks great. The car has 2007 tags, but a non-op was filed with the DMV so that registration fees will be around $200 if you are registering in California. I have clean title in hand. Overall the car still looks beautiful. The paint shines and this still looks like a world class luxury sedan. The 750IL is an amazing vehicle, with elegant looks and an absolutely beautiful comfortable ride. Put a little TLC and bring this wonderful car back to life. I am an honest person and have described this car to the best of my knowledge and ability. Inspections are welcome. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Vehicle is sold as is.
