Vehicle Detail

kriegel Store This Model T is one of three I purchased from the estate of a long time Model T restorer and engine rebuilder. It has been stored inside up on floor jacks since about 2003-2004 until this July. As a hobby I find Model T's and inspect and tune them so they run and operate well. This car needed very little attention. It has the highest compression engine (at 60 psi) I have ever seen in a Model T! Most good engines read about 45 psi. I can not guarantee that the engine rebuilder rebuilt the engine and transmission but from the compression and the engine power I would assume so with confidence (see pictures of engine compression readings) The body exterior is in very nice shape with a deep paint shine few if any bumps. nicks or scratches The undercarriage is very clean The tires appear new The wheels are unpainted spokes, which I like because you can see they too are in great shape with no cracks (which paint covers up) the windows all work, glass is fine window shades work front wind shield opens easily roof appears new What I do to improve a car install new battery install new battery ground strap, power cables to switch and starter, new starter switch install all rebuilt coils Test starter and generator, ammeter change differential 600 weight oil change engine oil and spark plugs run a compression check clean commutator time engine check tire pressure check thrust bearings and front bearings king pins for looseness added new rebuilt starter by Ron Patterson "the coil man" best there is test drive car install rebuilt carburetor from Snyders Auto Parts inspect and tell new buyer any defects I see Defects car magneto weak car will not start and run on magneto. I will recharge car magnets and change magneto plug which should correct problem interior is the original interior It is functional as is. I have not changed it as many Model T'ers want the unrestored interior as they are so hard to find. Seats have some holes, tears and are lightly soiled Headliner looks good in back but above drivers head has holes and wear spots (from wearing hats?) Door panels 2 are not covered in fabric, driver side rear passenger side front Horn missing cover for motor. Inoperative and should be repaired Car is a 1925 but was improperly listed years in the past as a 1919 on the title Included with all my cars is telephone advice after the sale, a copy of the Ford Model T maintenance and service manual, spark plug head wrench and rear wheel wrench I have been selling on ebay since 1999 with 100 percent feed back. I describe cars more harsh then they appear so a buyer is pleased and not disappointed. Please feel free to email me for my phone number ask questions The Model T's if you have not owned one are the great classic car. Easy to own, cheap to repair, and always draw a crowd. Great to build memories with the kids and grand kids Parts are available from many suppliers inexpensive and available in 2-3 days Club members are extremely helpful Please see my videos on starting and driving Model T;s on youtube under my name dakriegel On Aug-09-11 at 09:48:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Car now runs fine on magnetos recharged them today
