NO Reserve auction. Please do not bid if you do not intend to seal the deal. I have cut the "reserve price" (starting bid) almost in half on this car. IT MUST GO! 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible 91,600 actual miles. High Performance "ZF" engine code 110 HP Originally an automatic car, converted to a 4 speed in the early 80's Body is fair. Definitely has bondo. Painted in late 80's and showing wear, but looks good from a distance. Not the stock color (originally Light Metallic Blue, now Baby Blue). Interior is fair. It too was dyed in the late 80's. Seats could use a recover, but very usable. Both front seats are passenger seats, but nobody will ever know. I believe just the tracks are different. Currently the adjuster for driver seats is between the seats, but no big deal. New carpeting (Black). OEM style from Clark's Corvair Parts. Newer rear window Mechanically drives decent. Drives pretty straight, but loose like a 47 year old car. Brakes could probably use an adjusting. New tires, less than 250 miles on them. Engine starts and runs real good. New plugs and points. Transmission and clutch seam to be working good. Recently rebuilt both carburetors. Replaced valve cover gaskets and oil pan gasket, but has a leak still on the passenger side. Replace the push tube and rocker o-rings with "Viton" o-rings from Clark's Corvair Parts . This has been my fathers car since 1987. It has been sitting in his garage 99% of the time for the last 15 years. It hadn't been driven in the last 2 years at all. So the time has come to sell it. I have put approximately 150 miles on it in the last week, and I would say it's good to go. Please view pictures closely, as a picture is worth a 1000 words.
