1957 Mercedes Benz 220 S Ponton with original factory Webasto sunroof and four speed manual transmission. This car is restored back to it's original glory with no expenses spared. 100% rust free California numbers-matching car, delivered October 29, 1957 to San Francisco, California. All work performed on the car was done by factory trained Mercedes-Benz master mechanics. The car is finished with beautiful deep black paint, red Connoley leather seats, and red Wilton wool carpet. This car looks and drives fantastic, it is ready to show or drive and enjoy. This car is being re-listed due to a non paying bidder, bidder said that there son was the one who bid on the car without there knowledge. Please do not bid if you do not intend on buying this car. Below is a partial list of what was done to the car: Body was stripped to bare metal, primed and painted by Brace's Auto Body and Paint in Marina Del Ray, Ca. Please note the reflections on this car to see just how straight the body is. I have never seen one straighter. Engine rebuilt. All lights work as they should including dash lights, back up lights, break lights, indicator lights, fog lights etc. All new brakes, wheel cylinders hoses, lines and new Bilstein shocks, front and back. All new exhaust and NOS factory muffler. Heaters and fans work as they should. All new door and window rubbers. Facotry manuals, jack and spare tire. New clutch and new drive-shaft rubber couplings. Never hit or in any kind of accident. All glass is clear and damage free. New P185/80R13 tires and much more. Gas tank was removed, cleaned and lined. There are no leaks of any kind from this car. Restoration has just been completed. Please take the time to look at all of the pictures, they do tell just how clean, complete and straight this car is.
